I've never heard of them having tutors on set for under 5s. But like I said there's no noticeable different in looks between age 17 and 18 so I don't know why they are stressing the must look 17.

I get what they are doing but it seemed implied to me that they have done so in the past and would have to again if the kids were under 18. It seems like a waste that they'd have to be required to have a tutor for an U5. Contract definetly. Recurring yes, but under 5? Its not like they are on filming hours worth of material

Any kids on set, even extras, would require the studio teacher being there. That's their schooling for the day (3-4 hours or so).

When they tape the Christmas episode, since they use 10 to 15 kids as extras, plus Johnny/Allie/Ciara/Theo/etc..., they actually had THREE studio teachers that day. I guess they need one teacher per every 8 kids or so.

Yes, anyone under 18 needs a studio teacher on set. They don't go to school the day of taping, so the studio teacher serves as their teacher for the day.

There were 3 teachers needed the day that the Christmas episode was taped, since they had Johnny/Allie/Sydney/Ciara/Theo/Joey plus the 10 or so hospital patient extras.

Ok Question is, since they are casting a Principal and Teens......who younger character is being aged up??? Ciara? Theo? Sami kids?

This confusion is going on at many of the boards I posted this on. Sorry for the confusion!!

The role of Seth Burns (principal/recurring) is not a "school principal." It's the type of role (principal) that Seth is. Any character with more than 5 lines of dialogue in an episode is called a Principal Performer. Sami is a principal. John is a principal. When they talk a lot, even Ciara and Theo are principals.

Three types of roles on TV shows:

Principals: Any character with at least 5 lines of dialogue in an episode.

Under Fives: Any character with less than 5 lines of dialogue in an episode.

Extras/Atmosphere: No dialogue; provide background for a scene.
