Members VirginiaHamilton
I was rather fond of this song (if only because of the Sting sample): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lw8iP7JR2xE
Members Wales2004
I don't think it should be called sampling if the entire track is lifted. Here's one of Monica's songs using the "Shape of My Heart" music: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/aQKh40A3In0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Blaque and 706 didn't seem toi stand much of a chance. I think Left Eye hoped that the addition of J.C. Chasez would give this track a boost. I know they seemed to play it a lot on KIIS FM (the number one pop station in Los Angeles) <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/5QCjL61-zMs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I totally forgot about this with Sting: <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ESlMPl74Myg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Dang, all these great R&B girl groups from the mid/late 90s and they didnt get much success besides 1 or 2 albums. They seemed to follow the same formula to with 3 members
Members Wales2004
Yes. I botched that Vegas area code. I loved the song you posted. Maybe one day we'll get a thread going for the girl groups from the 90s There's Brownstone, Xscape as well. My favorite Total song: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4powX4uETms" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Total backing LL Cool J <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/JodY-LQJ_rQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> and for purists the original song: <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/XT48-LLs0tI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Music is wow.... Members Y&RWorldTurner
A bit of-topic (but we're already there). UK girl-group Stooshe recently did a cover of TLC's Waterfalls. T-Boz and Chilli appear in the video. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-BvFd5JLpxw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Members Y&RWorldTurner
LOL! I forgot about Bring It On - which was THE teen flick of 2000 and a surprise hit during the summer of that year. A lot of late 90's and early 00's music, fashion, and pop culture is terrible, but as that era coincided with my teens I'll look back fondly on it for nostalgic purposes. Even though, I personally prefer the 80's and early 90's.
