Members Soapsuds
How were the seasons of soaps counted? Meaning when was the first half of a season considered done and the second part of the season to have begun? For example 86-87 season......87-88 season......?? Was it the same as in prime time? Members Eric83
The way I have seen episode descriptions, each new season starts at the show's anniversary. For instance GH will end its 49th season on March 31, 2012 and begin its 50th season on April 1.
Administrator Toups Posted February 9, 2012 Administrator Share Posted February 9, 2012 Yes, daytime is same as primetime when it comes to ratings. The 3rd week of September is usually the beginning of a new season (this year it's Sept 19, 2011 to probably September 16, 2012). For episode guides for soaps, it's the anniversary of the show. Members Soapsuds
I've always been curious and the reason I asked was because I have been looking at SON's ratings archieve threads...and was wondering when the season began and ended.
