I was reading a little about all the hate Gwen was getting from fans in this past episode. I wonder if this is another show where the most vocal fans just like the cute boys. The chatter is that negotiations for a sixth season fell through for some reason, maybe money. Members wingwalker Posted November 26, 2012 Members Share Posted November 26, 2012 That's sad the hear, for as I still enjoy the show,though not as much as I used to but am I not surprised I think part of the problem is they dragged out the reveal of Merlin using magic too long and people got disinterested. Killing off Uther and making Arthur king last season was a good shakeup, but wasn't enough IMO. Arthur should have figured out Merlin does magic long ago and makes him look stupid for not figuring out by now and having Arthur get knocked unconscious nearly every episode too keep the secret going is stupid and repetitive as well. Merlin was a great show for children but one that was interesting enough that an adult could watch. Ending at Christmas means there are probably four episodes left.
