In a tie with “The Young and the Restless,” “The Bold and the Beautiful” ranked No. 1 among soaps in Women 18-49 for the tenth time in 13 weeks (including ties).
“Beyond the Gates” ranked last in Women 18-49 and set a new low in the key demo.
“The View” flourished in Women 18-49, ranking second for the week, ahead of the first half-hour of “The Price is Right” and “TODAY 3rd Hour.”
During the week of December 15-19, 2025, “The View” on ABC set a new season high among Women 18-49 (0.28 rating), while ranking second overall, just ahead of the first half-hour of “The Price is Right” and “TODAY 3rd Hour,” each tied for third with a 0.26 rating. Additionally, the talk show saw its best performance in the demo since the week of November 4-8, 2024, while gaining +98,000 viewers week-to-week and attracting its second-best performance of the season among Total Viewers (2.576 million) and Women 25-54 (0.39 rating). Compared to the same week last year, the program was up a whopping +263,000 viewers.
Over at CBS, “Beyond the Gates” ranked last for the first time ever (excluding ties) among Women 18-49 actuals, while setting a new season and series low in the key sales demographic. For the week, the daytime drama series attracted 1.569 million viewers, a 0.25 rating among Women 25-54 and a 0.12 rating among Women 18-49, down from last week’s 0.13 rating. Though down -30,000 viewers from the prior week, the soap opera saw a year-over-year gain of +250,000 viewers compared to the performance of former time slot holder “The Talk,” which had wrapped its 15th and final season during the same week in 2024. While flat week-to-week among Women 25-54, the soap opera topped time slot competitor “General Hospital” (0.25 rating vs. 0.23 rating) and was up +0.02 over the year ago performance of “The Talk.”
“TODAY 3rd Hour” was up +180,000 viewers week-to-week and up +124,000 viewers year-over-year, marking its second-best performance of the season among Total Viewers (2.160 million), behind only the week of November 24-28, 2025. The news program tied its season high among Women 25-54 (0.42 rating) and marked its fourth-best performance among Women 18-49 (0.26 rating), placing third in the latter demo in a tie with the first half-hour of “The Price is Right.”
With 1.956 million viewers tuned in, “General Hospital” was up +73,000 viewers week-to-week and attracted its second-largest audience of the season, with its best performance overall among Total Viewers since the week of September 22-26, 2025. The long-running daytime drama series was up +0.03 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.18 rating vs. 0.15 rating) and up +0.01 among Women 25-54 (0.23 rating vs. 0.22 rating).
“The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” tied for No. 1 among the four network soaps in Women 18-49 (0.20 rating), marking the tenth time in 13 weeks that the half-hour drama has ranked first in the demo (including ties). Compared with one week earlier, the sister soaps were up by +25,000 and +42,000 viewers, respectively.
Among Total Viewers, “NBC News Daily” was up week-to-week (+67,000) and saw the largest year-over-year gain across daytime broadcast, up +298,000.
