TV's Biggest Money Makers

  • Member

Forbes came out with an article listing the top TV shows that bring in the most money in AD Revenue in 2010.

http://blogs.forbes.com/dorothypomerantz/2011/03/16/tvs-biggest-moneymakers/

1. American Idol - 7.11 million

2, Two and a Half Men - 2.89 million

3. Desperate Housewives - 2.74 million

4. Grey's Anatomy - 2.67 million

5. Dancing with the Stars - 2.67 million

6. Lost - 2.60 million

7. The Big Bang Theory - 2.50 million

8. 24 - 2.45 million

9. Private Practice - 2.32 million

10. Mike & Molly - 2.11

Interesting that not a single NBC show is in the top ten & that all three of Chuck Lorre's sitcoms are, but not one single-camera comedy is. I guess them old fashioned multi-cam sitcoms sure are dying aren't they?

Mike and Molly is a CBS timeslot hit that basically is about making fun of overweight people.

I guess demos really do rule all - NCIS is the most popular show on TV yet is not on this list.
