ATWT:

Doug proposes to Frannie, but after accepting, she's crushed when she learns his wife Caroline didn't die of an accident, but had killed herself. She wonders if any man will ever be honest with her.

Margo has been promoted and is pregnant, but Tom is sleeping with Barbara. Tom tries to dump Barbara to be with his wife and unborn child, but Barbara lies that she's pregnant.

Lucinda and Sierra reconcile, but Lucinda wants revenge on John. Meanwhile, Lucinda has to protect Sierra as someone comes after her because they want revenge on her father. Sierra and Tonio get together and Tonio is a big success at work, while Craig's performance declines. Craig threatens Lucinda that he will tell Sierra about his affair with Lucinda.

Lily and Holden get together, but she's still spoiled, and Holden considers moving away from home and getting into the Walsh company. This upsets Emma. Meanwhile, Iva disgraces the family and begins an affair with Steve.

Loving

Shana, having lost her fiance to another woman and her priest to the Catholic Church, becomes a tough businesswoman who works only to get the Alden Company back in her father's hands. But Shana really wants a marriage and children, so Doug Donovan begins to wear her down.

Ann's sanity was put into question by Dante, and she becomes dependent on alcohol and Harry Sowolosky. Ann kills Dante during an argument, after she found Gwyn's scarf in his bed. Harry happens to be working that night, and stumbles upon the murder, and Ann blacked out from drink. Harry frames Gwyn for the murder, and Ann finally realizes she is the guilty one just as Gwyn is about to go to the electric chair. Ann is let off for self-defense. She thanks Harry for his help, but doesn't want a relationship. She soon learns that Roger is still alive.

The Aldens are furious when Jack and Stacey return to Corinth and say they want to live together, and they are even more angry when Curtis and Ava wed. Stacey's parents can't be at her wedding because they've moved. Curtis and Jack are stunned when they learn of Johnny's paternity.

Gwyn and Dolly fight for Keith's affections. Keith finds Dolly attractive but sees Gwyn as very hot. But Gwyn has to drop her fight for Keith when everyone learns the man buried in the Alden family plot isn't actually Clay. The real Clay is on his way to Corinth.

Lorna fights Ava for Curtis, but is held captive by the insane Zona, who says she will kill Lorna if Lorna doesn't leave her husband alone. Everyone starts looking for Lorna.

Cabot regains Alden Enterprises.

AMC

Brooke's disastrous relationship with Gilles St. Clair makes her move away from her love life. But she and Tom spend a lot of time with their daughter Laura and they eventually decide to reconcile. After they remarry, Brooke tells Tom she's going to give up her career for a while to focus on being a wife and mother.

Nina and Cliff reunite and Nina learns she's pregnant. Palmer gives up on breaking the two apart after Daisy leaves town over his schemes. Palmer falls into a depression, but the arrival of a mysterious and powerful woman rouses him.

Tad and Hillary's marriage causes Andrew to leave town and Dottie to turn her attention to Greg. Greg has been dating Robin but is attracted to Dottie. This leads to a triangle.

Charlie and Julie are happy together, but Julie learns she's pregnant. Ellen, remembering the disastrous marriage her daughter Devon entered because of pregnancy, tries to get daughter Julie to have an abortion. Meanwhile, Ross is so busy at work that Ellen is drawn to a recently returned Paul Martin.

Still trying to win Jeremy, Natalie works with Adam to break up Jeremy/Erica. This leads to one of these four being murdered.

Search for Tomorrow

Lloyd finally goes to trial for contaminating the Henderson water supply. Hogan and Sunny share a top prize for journalism on this subject, but they're still unhappy. Hogan still can't have Liza, but he might not want her anyway. Liza stayed married to Lloyd out of honor, but his jealousy has made her an alcoholic. She has liquor stored everywhere, even in a dictionary. Sunny realizes Hogan can't stand the smell of drunks, and goes on the Bianca diet so her man will have that wintergreen fragrance all year round.

TR goes to live with her mother Estelle, who is draining ex husband Lloyd of all his money. Lloyd has lost his kids to Estelle and his reputation to the court case, leading him to consider suicide.

Quinn proposes to Evie and they elope. Evie's family oppose the union, but her love for Quinn wins out. Their first few months together are a struggle, as Evie wants to study and Quinn wants her to get their education money by modeling. Evie proves studies are her priority, and Quinn looks for a new girl/woman to promote.

Guiding Light

Maeve notices the sparks between Kyle and Reva, but is relieved when a new man moves to Springfield and takes up with Reva. Kyle is jealous, but is still a married man. Maeve sees that Kyle will only love Reva, and leaves town. Kyle and Reva marry.

Mindy's spending sprees strain her marriage to Kurt, who is furious every time she takes money from her family. Mindy meets a rich older man who gives her money, but backs off when he wants more than friendship. Kurt meanwhile is still appalled by her immaturity.

Roxie sees how serious Jessie's crush on Rick is. Rick doesn't, and eventually Jessie manages to seduce him. Roxie, crushed, takes up with the man Reva dumped for Kyle.

Claire leaves town and Ed and Maureen gain custody of "Bibi" and settle happily ever after.

India refuses to give up Simon or her dreams of wealth. Since Alex foiled her plans to make Simon a Spaulding heir, India starts sabotaging Spaulding Enterprises.

Alan returns to Springfield via disguise, and gets to work saving Spaulding Enterprises. Big money helps him get out of any jail time, and he lets everyone know he's back. Calla pursues him, but he wants Reva.

Santa Barbara

CC wakes from his coma, but still has to recover, so he puts Eden in charge of Capwell Enterprises, annoying Mason. He remembers everything Gina said about trying to pull his life support as well as blaming Eden for it. She's thrown out of the family. Gina then tries to steal Mason from Mary. Mary begins a torrid affair with Mark McCormack, who has been in love with her for years. Then he bumps into his long-lost wife, Janice. Mary and Mason reunite. But Gina has another plan in mind...

Eden tries to get out of her loveless marriage to Kirk, but he refuses. Manic-depressive Cruz is seduced by Santana, and is guilt-ridden over this. Eden and Cruz wed. Kirk is in a stupor, and Santana finally gets legal custody of her son Brandon, with help from Lionel.

Kelly dumps Nick for his brother Dylan. Nick becomes a workaholic. But before wedding bells can ring for Kelly and Dylan, she learns she's carrying Nick's child, and she agrees to marry him. Right before this can happen, she miscarries, and becomes depressed. Dylan helps her heal. Dylan, Kelly, and Sam become involved in a wild new adventure.

Everyone is shocked to learn Brick is Channing Capwell, switched at birth by Minx Lockricdge, who didn't want her grandchild to be raised by the Capwells. Lionel and Sophia are overjoyed, but Augusta and the Capwells are horrified.

With Ted and Laken split, Ted becomes involved with a mysterious newcomer.

Capitol

Clarissa, after much thought, decides she belongs with Jarrett. She has trouble dealing with the pain she felt when Jarrett was in hiding, but manages to resolve her conflict and turn to the problems of her kids.

Tyler and Julie continue to grow apart. He is busy with work and she wants to be known as more than his wife. She is also bitter about not being able to have children.

Paula's book causes a scandal due to shocking details. Myrna is especially upset that the book reveals that Jenny is her daughter! Sam is disgusted and sees Myrna as a stranger. Julie, realizing she can't even trust her own mother, leaves Washington for a new life.

Trey and Kelly continue to fall apart, as she can't cope with the pace of DC. Trey's schemes end in his murder by crime lords.

Ryan's Hope

Frank hopes his marriage to Jill will return to normal, but she still pines for Dakota. She no longer feels passion for Frank, and one night when he's sleeping, Jill leaves him for Dakota. They go on Dakota's boat, the Rambling Rose, to see the world. Jill's departure, Maeve and Johnny's problems, and his failing and neglected career drive him to a sanitarium. Maggie wants to help save Frank, but shockingly, Faith returns and puts Frank back together. Meanwhile, when Jill learns of Frank's huge problems, she flies back to New York to see him, upsetting Dakota. She herself is upset when she sees Frank with Faith. Dakota returns and Maggie sets her sights on him.

The Ryans are devastated to learn Dakota is Johnny's son. Maeve has to take time to deal with this, and pushes Johnny away for a long time. She also takes a long time to accept Dakota.

Ryan and Rick begin dating, but she finds out she's pregnant. Jack begins dating a mysterious woman who recently arrived in town, and proposes to her.

Y&R

Ashley decides she can't break up Victor and Nikki. Nikki meanwhile has little time for Victor and gets involved with Jack. Victor vows to destroy Jack, and unearths some of Jack's dirty deeds. Ashley and Matt fall in love. Jack is in hot water after his sex photo with Jill is shown in court. John quickly realizes it's Jack, and disowns him. Jack blackmails Ashley into helping him start over.

Paul won't give up on Lauren, and tracks Shawn down to where he's holding Lauren prisoner. Paul and Andy risk their lives to save Lauren, and the Williams have a passionate reunion. Lauren decides she wants children, but learns she can't have any. She decides to keep this from Paul.

Traci very happily marries Brad, despite Jack's objections, but soon learns Brad isn't the man she thought he was.

GH

Mike learns Derek is his bio-father and leaves town. The only person he talks to from the road is Derek. Ginny interviews herself looking for her missing son. Buzz and Anna look for Mike in the Asian Quarter. Robin helps. Eventually Mike hides out at Derek's mansion, but all Derek knows how to do is give Mike money. Mike begins abusing drugs and alcohol. Rick faces a malpractice suit. Ginny cries more than the baby.

Felicia and Frisco marry. Felicia learns Sean Donely is her father. They run the shipping company together. Sean has a torrid affair with Monica, and when she leaves Alan, Alan has a breakdown.

Anna opens up her own school, Devane's World of Self-Defense. Olin is her business manager and Suki runs her PR. She begins dating Buzz but this falls apart when he reveals his past is worse than hers.

Lorena is strangled with "unmentionable athletic attire" and Jimmy Lee and Celia are prime suspects. The bad press coverage hurts Jimmy Lee's business with Edward. When Alan is taken to an asylum, Celia and Jimmy Lee move into the mansion permanently.

Claudia and Brian leave town with their unnamed twins, and nobody notices. Frisco and Felicia move out of the brownstone, but Tony and Tania waste away from boredom. Jade and Yank move into the brownstone and decide to live together. Jade struggles to adjust to Yank's doctor's hours and intern's salary.

Rick's son Blackie returns from prison and romances Bobbie. Bitter and jaded, he causes more problems for the Webbers. Tiffany returns from her latest film shoot and takes up with Sean, leading to a Sean/Tiffany/Monica triangle.

Everyone drinks a lot of coffee.

AW

Carl, even from death, affects many in Bay City .

Rachel and Mac lay dying from the toxic dust, but Chris Chapin injects himself with a serum. He goes insane for several days, but recovers in time to save them.

The Loves recover their money and Donna goes back to being a snob. But Donna soon comes into big conflict with the new Mrs. Love, Brittany. Brittany becomes a huge bitch. Peter is dismayed by her attitude change, but is happy to learn she's pregnant. What he doesn't know is that Catlin is the father.

Marley's search for her father intensifies and Donna panics. Jake and Marley plan to marry, but a strange man arrives in town and entangles Victoria, Nancy and Jake in his web. Nancy isn't ready for marriage, and she and Chris drift apart.

Cass tries to protect his freedom by proving Carl is the one who killed Daphne. The trial doesn't go Cass' way .He also fears losing Kathleen to Edward.

Clarice and Larry reconcile, but Carter and Thomasina struggle, as Carter can't deal with his father's death.

Catlin and Sally also struggle, as her job at Le Soleil makes her the toast of the nation, distancing her from Catlin.

Zane and Felicia's marriage makes them one of the only bright spots in Bay City. They're actually happy...for about a week.

OLTL

Everyone in Llanview is furious with Asa after he reveals he's been married to Pamela for years. The real war is between Dorian and Pamela, who fight over Asa. Pamela decides no one will take away the money and jewels and furs she now has with Asa.

After learning Viki was pretending to be Niki, Clint insists Viki return to therapy. With Dr. Polk's help, Niki and Viki merge, with Viki the dominant personality. Viki now feels more drawn to the wild side and keeps Niki's sunglasses and leopard print bathing suit.

After Tina went along with "Niki", not knowing she was really Viki, Tina is disinherited. Tina can't afford a lawyer so she can't get Dorian's money either. Turning to her "famous fanny," she decides to open a call-girl operation.

After Bo dies, Didi thinks of the opportunities she lost by driving Bo away, and she contemplates suicide. Bo's body isn't found. Pete, Connie and Joy comfort her.

Larry and Rob fume as Cassie defends Ivan against Larry's charges that Ivan murdered Larry's wife Laurel. Rob works hard to save his marriage to Cassie as she stays loyal to Ivan. Tracy becomes more obsessed with Larry, who still has no idea Tracy killed Laurel.

Josh and Lisa fall in love and plan to marry, but her old boyfriend causes problems for them. Woody and Mimi marry and return to Hollywood when their movie BACKFIRE becomes a big hit. Woody won't leave before finishing off Clay once and for all - until the next time.

Rafe has nothing to do and decides he's in love with Clover. Clover's happy about this until Delila offers to make her big model - Clover dumps Rafe and baby Samantha.

Tracy is shocked to learn the truth about her past, which her Aunt Ramona kept from her.

DAYS

Marlena is drawn to a mysterious stranger, not knowing he has amnesia and is the pawn, AKA Roman Brady. Carrie senses the truth before anyone else. The road back for Roman is tough.

The reveal that Roman is Victor's son infuriates Shawn. Caroline takes up with Victor. Victor, Savannah, and Alex and Emma form an alliance and wreak havoc for all. Caroline needs to know the truth and this almost kills her. Shawn saves her and they renew their wedding vows. Meanwhile, Chris takes up with Savannah again.

Still hurt by Tony's strange departure, Anna melts his Men at Work records, burns her koala bear, and swears off champagne and caviar for a while. She looks for new love and goes through every man, even the poor, such as a certain young doctor. But Tony's memory lingers and he might return at the end of the year.

Pete and Melissa are happy, but money problems cause Pete to get caught up in dangerous activities that tie him to Victor without his knowledge. The couple drift apart, and Pete starts spending more time with Charlie and Ivy. Ivy is wary, but is happy to be around Pete again, as she still loves him. Tod Chandler and Melissa fall in love. But his business failures send him off the wagon, and Melissa struggles to save him as she still loves Pete.

Hope questions how well she knows Bo when his past resurfaces. Patch continues to lurk in the shadows. Brother Francis makes matters worse when he supplies a steady source of comfort to Mrs. Brady. Hope is even more torn when a woman from Bo's and Patch's past returns, with a child.

When Shane learns what Kimberly did to save his life, and the fallout of that, he feels betrayed. He withdraws from Kimberly. Victor looms over the couple. A tragedy that almost takes a life finally reunites Shane and Kimberly, and the writers admit the couple have suffered enough. They marry. But their happiness is soon tested again when Stefano rises from the ashes, prompting a huge war with Victor that affects everyone.

Alice learns to make cream-filled and jelly doughnuts, Tom gets a new lab coat, Mickey and Maggie remarry, Jennifer finds a boyfriend, and Eugene and Calliope have the fun no one else does in Salem.

The Marlena/"Roman" stuff happened.

You can tell they hated Ginny on GH.

This included a photo of Paula and Myrna choking each other, as Richard Egan looked on! You've probably already seen it but if you haven't, let me know and I'll put it in the Capitol thread.

OK you've seen the photo then, good. That thing is hilarious, although the strangely distant look on Paula's face is what I remember.

I think it was supposed to be wishful thinking, partially serious, and also a big joke.

Poor Andrea Evans - there was also a Michael Logan column a few years after this in SOD where he went on a friend who hated the way she walked :lol:
