There isn't much I can add to the story, read what the Daily Mail has to say...it says a lot about the mood of the country, it's turned on a dime.

There do seem to be some in the comments section who are angry about the cuts and feeling betrayed by Tories (did they really expect the Tories not to raise tuition?). But I think that the ugly images from the protesters are what might hold the most power. Seeing them destroy the flag at the Cenotaph, and piss on Winston Churchill -- why?

That broken window in the car is scary. That could have done serious damage to Charles or Camilla. I wonder if any of the protesters cared.

Most of the anger isn't directed at the Tories, who, from day one, said they'd cut everything and raise tuition. The anger is mostly towards the Liberal Democrats, Nick Clegg really did lie to everyone...though realistically, everything he said could never have happened. Anyone who voted for him was stupid.

The youth in this country are disgusting. They need to fumigate a whole generation.

I wonder how many in the UK had much of an opinion of the Liberal Democrats. In some ways I think Clegg was like Obama -- generally more about promise than reality.

If you had to compare the youth of the UK, the US, and France, how would you?

The youth in France is terribly problematic too. It's a time bomb and very soon we'll see another round of protests and chaos.

Generally everywhere the youth is drunk, desensitized, prone to various vices, ready for violence etc. It's quite scary.

Liberal Democrats are apparently at 8% in the polls.

I could understand why they're protesting (tripling fees?? tuition could get up to $14 grand CDN a year?....INSANE!). And I don't think that's even for top schools. People will be in so much debt when they get out of school. And people will be dropping out and education starts declining...and the future will be come more stupid.

I'm just glad I'm out of school.

They are kind of defending themselves by saying the graduates will only need to pay back the fees if their earnings go above £21,000 ($32,700). Cameron has actually been very cunning in all of this, letting Clegg take all the blame, LOL.
