AS THE WORLD TURNS:

Telling Craig that she slept with Brock Lombard during their extended, complicated, humorless courtship accomplishes two goals for raven-haired Ellie Snyder. One: it helps Craig Montgomery finally decide to move to Montega to be with his wife, Sierra. Two: it frees Ellie to pursue Brock Lombard on her own, even though he's involved with Emily Stewart. Brock's Dad, mobster Philip Lombard, is tired of all the women in his son's life. If he had his way, he'd mow them all down, massacre-style. Which may still happen , now that he knows Brock lied about that vacation he took with Marjorie and the kids in Florida. On a videotape, Philip watches Craig confront Brock about the divorce he got in the Dominican Republic.

HIT THE SHEETS, HIT THE BOTTLE:

Julie wants to be a successful model so bad she can taste it. So can Tonio Reyes, who lays it on the line when he gives Julie a rather blunt ultimatum. Sleep with me or forget your career with Veronica Leathers, says the twice-married and divorced Reyes. Julie submits to the Latin's desire and suffers tremendous gilt and self-disgust afterwards. She tells Tonio this can't go on. Suit yourself, says Reyes. You can also kiss your career goodbye.

Remembering that Julie was the Seattle slut before she moved in with him has Andy Dixon living a life of torture now that she's so chummy with master seducer Reyes. He starts to drink again but his pals immediately catch on. Duke and Paul both confront him. Frannie gets the word and drops by to demand an explanation. Andy admits his transgression and Frannie alerts Susan Stewart. Both women agree not to tell John.

SUSAN PUTS UP HER DUKES:

Either John Dixon is accepting his fate as Lucinda's husband or he's having change of heart about his wife, the control freak, because they're talking again, having lunch again, and getting back together to their lengthy debates about right and wrong. She was wrong to have Duke thrown out of the house this summer, Lucinda admits. But there's still no proof that he's Duke'a father, she adds. Get off the dime, John suggests, but Lucinda makes a few phone calls to find the boy's real daddy.

John's most recent sleeping-partner, Susan Stewart, has stopped letting fate take its course regarding her relationship with the ornery doc. She'll use every feminine wile she has (including feigning a fainting spell to get John's medical attention) to block Lucinda. The media mogul is wise to this act and eventually the two ladies get into a brawl.

THAT SEPTEMBER NIGHT:

At the Earl Mitchell Center for Runaways, Hey You remembers Brock Lombard all too well. Brock's the reason Bruce (Hey You's real name) ran away from home in the first place. His dad, Alan Dreyfuss, had dealings with the Lombard family. Phillip Lombard is frustrated that his men haven't been able to find Alan's son, who knows too much. Too much about what? Could be that dogeared newspaper headline in Bruce's pocket that says, "Family trapped in blaze. Foul play suspected." Brock also tells Ellie that Philip knows she's pieced together the events of that September night last year in Indiana.

CASEY COMES HOME:

The therapists have been able to do nothing for Casey Peretti's case of Guillian-Barre syndrome and he elects to return to Oakdale. Lucinda lends her jet and her handsome pilot, Mr. Sawyer, to Margo to bring him home. Casey's in metal leg and arm braces. John delivers a check to Lyla for "vacation and severance pay," which Casey rightly spots as charity. Lyla thinks about renting out three of the bedrooms.

MY ACHING BACK:

Lucinda gives Susan a terrific shove that sends her reeling into a ladder and crashing to the floor. Emily and Brock find her unconscious. Susan lies about how she ended up on the floor, but privately she tells Emily the truth. Leave it to Emily to suggest to her mother that she now has the right weapon to spoil John and Lucinda's reconciliation. While the Dixons have a a lovely evening and Lucinda mentions some "unpleasantness" she had with Susan in passing, Dr.Stewart takes a prescription that a specialist warns her could become addictive. Susan would rather not woo back John with an injury, but she informs Lucinda that anytime she wants to tell John why she's in so much pain, she will.

CLOSING IN ON BROCK:

Now that they're divorced, Brock and Marjorie have to keep it from Philip, and the plan is for Marjorie to take the children to New Zealand, where she will assume a new identity. Philip tries to keep Marjorie in Lake Forest, but she escapes from his clutches via a shopping mall. Philip reports that she's disappeared. Brock says she's in Rome and he's going to join her latter. Philip doesn't buy it, and reports that his men have located Brock to take care of him. Elle tells Brock that her car was definitely tampered with. Brock is sure his father is responsible.

SELLING OUT:

Julie decided she wants a career modeling and agrees to Tonio's term: sex for opportunity. Soon she's telling everyone she's the signature model for Veronica Leathers, but Lucinda assumes that Tonio is stringing her along for sexual favors. And when Julie asks Tonio when she's going to sign a contract, Tonio stifles her with a kiss.

DALLAS:

Jock's letter has energized J.R. As the rest of Southfork's residents sleep, J.R proclaims to James, "We're gonna beat this". J.R. wakes up Cally with a kiss, and she's overjoyed to have her husband back in her arms.

CLIFF's PLAN:

Michelle casually questions Cliff about the two committee members who may be a source of trouble for him. He replies that Diana Farrington and George Middleton are "bleeding-heart liberals" who want more proof of Ewing Oil's guilt. Despite them, Cliff still believes he can nail Ewing Oil.

Just to be on the safe side, though, Cliff drives to McKay's range. He wants McKay's word that Weststar's tanker didn't have anything to do with the collision. McKay is annoyed by Cliff's sudden attack of conscience, but insists that Cliff won't have any problems finding Ewing Oil Guilty.

COLLISION COURSE:

Unbeknownst to Cliff, Ewing Oil's private investigator has uncovered information about Weststar's tanker. The understaffed crew was doing double and triple shifts at the time of the accident. The collision may not be entirely Ewing Oil's fault. Although J>R> scoffs, Bobby decides to talk with Ewing's tanker captain. Maybe Captain Bouleris can shed some light on the accident.

First Bobby tries Bouleris;s house. Mrs. Bouleris snaps, "You sure didn't care about his side of things when you fired him. Why should we believe you now"?Before ewing can respond, she slams the door in his face. Undeterred by Mrs. Bouleris's irate reception, Bobby searches for Bouleris at a local bar. The captain wants to be left alone, but Bobby persists. Does Bouleris want to walk around the rest of his life with reputation as a drunk? Having people he was responsible for the tanker collision? Bouleris insists that he was not drunk at the time of the accident. He holds up his drink for Bobby to taste. "Water," says a surprised Ewing after he sips the drink. Bouleris has been sober for four years. Bobby sees a tiny ray of hope.

A BROTHERLY FRIENDSHIP:

James tries to befriend John Ross. After he takes his younger brother on a motorcycle ride, James has a heart-to-heart talk with John Ross. He is not out to steal J.R. away from John Ross, explains James. He is not after Ewing

Oil. All he wants is a family and that means getting to know both J.R. and John Ross. To prove he's not a bad guy, James presents John Ross with an all-terrain vehicle. John Ross beams with delight, and it look like the beginning of a friendship.

As dinners ends at Southfork, Ellie and Clayton announce their return to the town of pride . Pride's boarding-house caretaker mysteriously claims that only Ellie can take care of a certain matter involving the town. Then, Bobby gets a call from April. She is leaving Dallas temporarily to help her mother move.

COUSINS AT ODDS:

Christopher is beginning to feel like the odd man out. Now that James and John Ross are buddies, John Ross doesn't want his little cousin tagging along. John Ross and Christopher nearly come to blows, and their fathers have to pull them apart. Unwilling to shake hands and make up, Chris runs to his room.

Bobby discovers Christopher sitting on his bed, throwing darts at a picture of John Ross. Bobby. Bobby tenderly explains to his son that John Ross is behaving like a brat because his life has been turned upside down having a new big brother, even a nice one, is unsettling. Christopher promises to be understanding.

A NEW SCHEME FOR MICHELLE:

Michelle and James heat up the dance floor. The action later moves to Cliff's apartment, and the romantic duo have another night of loving. James is worried, however, about his mother, Vanessa. Life would be so perfect, he muses, if Cally were out of the picture. Michelle files away that thought, and asks James to set up a meeting with J.R.

Cally and Alex Barton attend an art show at a hotel. Believing that her marriage to J.R. is than ever, Cally is glowing with happiness. But her good mood is short-lived, as she soon spots J.R. leading Michelle toward a suite of rooms in the hotel. "It may not be what you think," Alex desperately suggests, but a shattered Cally flees.

Actually, J.R.'s meeting with Michelle is all business. They enter the hotel room where James is watching the first televised meeting of Cliff's investigative committee. In exchange for a bank of account in her name, Michelle points out Diana Farrington and George Middleton J.R. plans to get them before cliff can.

THE ART OF PERSUASION:

In an Austin restaurant, Cliff is trying to persuade Diana that the Ewings are guilty. McKay approaches their table. Unaware

of Cliff's connection to McKay, Diana is charmed by Mckay's plea that she not be let Cliff railroad her into a premature decision. if the facts say that Ewing Oil is guilty, Diana promises Mckay, she will be the first to lead them to jail. As she turns to Cliff, Mckay smiles victoriously

J.R.'s own smooth-talking techniques are getting rusty. After he attempts to bribe George Middleton, Middleton warns, "We're not friends. and if you keep talking like this, you'll have earned yourself one hell of an enemy." J.R. is busy cursing himself, when he spies beautiful Diana. Now there's a committee member J.R. wouldn't mind corrupting.

Lucy informs Cally that Michelle is staying at Cliff's place, and Cally confronts Michelle. Cally wants to know if Michelle is sleeping with J.R. "Yes I am", lies Michelle. A distraught Cally races to Alex Barton's apartment. "Alex", she cries, and he leads he inside, shutting the door behind them.

FALCON CREST:

Emma's shot Charley with Angela's pistol. Is he dead or alive? Pilar tells the police that Emma shot her husband in self-defense. The Police search the grounds of Falcon Crest and Michael Sharpe's people move into Falcon Crest to seize documents. Emma realizes that Charley tricked her into selling the winery to Sharpe for fourteen million dollars by sneaking important transfer forms in with some regular paperwork that she signed. Her signature is on the legal bill of sale.

DON'T DRINK THE WINE:

Genele discovers that Charley and Ian mixed Falcon Crest wine with bad wine. Michael Sharpe is delighted that the bad wine has made it to market. Now he can sue Emma for fraud and acquire the winery at no cost.

Richard Channing shreds all incriminating winery documents. Richard's attorney tells Emma that a fourteen-million-dollar deposit has been made into her bank account. Channing tells his sister to find any other signed vat-transfer authorizations, which render her responsible for the bad wine.

MICHAEL SHARPE'S SON:

Danny Sharpe returns from Europe to work for his father. A chip off the old block, Danny has been estranged from his dad and Michael hopes to repair the relationship. Young Sharpe takes an immediate interest in Sydney ST. James. At first, she is revulsed by him. Later she decides to use Danny to influence his father against acquiring Falcon Crest. Danny confides in his aunt Lauren about his feelings for Sydney, and speaks to his father on Sydney's behalf. The pitch backfires. Dad doesn't think you should mix buisness with pleasure.

Sydney and Danny's first date is not a smashing success. Making coffee in the kitchen, Sydney is hoping for news from Frank Agretti, who's gone to Las Vegas to look for his nephew Chris. No one's heard from him since he went to Vegas to search for the gun that killed Emma's first husband, Daniel. In the study, Danny's stealing the vat documents with Emma's signature from her desk. When Sydney finds him, he tells her he knows that she's using him to get to his father.

IT's NOT EASY BEING MARRIED:

After discovering that his brother-in-law had his contractor's license revoked, Walker gets drunk and rants against his wife. Discussing Sharpe's planned takeover of Falcon Crest with Lauren, Richard notices a bruise on her arm.

Lance goes to Pilar's bed, but can't make love to her. He hasn't yet forgiven her for sleeping with Vogel. He also has a strange meeting with Emma, saying that as much as he'd like to, he can't hate her for the mess Falcon Crest is in.
