and watching Jane Fonda in Klute for inspiration.

The only thing "Klute" inspired me to do was never to watch another Jane Fonda movie in my life.

Oh. So I take it you're not Fonda her?

I loved Klute (some scenes in that movie still creep me out). Loved all that 70s paranoia cinema -- All The President's Men, Chinatown and 3 Days of the Condor, etc. But I can see how Fonda's I-inherited-daddy's-jutting-jawline could turn people off. She is a polarizing actress who was so strident in her day.

I don't see how Vasi = Bree in Klute, though! Maybe if they stuck some awful shag wig on Randi..?

Oldest pun in the world, perhaps; and yet, it never gets old.

As do I! :) IMO, the '70's were the decade for groundbreaking, truly American cinema. Nothing even comes close.

Total wish fulfillment but.. if Ciara's music career wasn't taking off, I think she'd bring some sass to the role.

OMG have you ever seen her dreadful acting in that volleyball movie from MTV? Trust me.. it was bad.
