Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear.  I did not feel sorry for Ms Barcroft because she lacked acting skills.  I felt sorry for her because she had once played a very major character on AW but was, in 1989, hired as a day-player to perform as a pharmacist selling condoms.

In a soap mag interview at the time, Ms Barcroft explained that she walked into the Brooklyn studio and still knew her way around.  But the only actor in the 1989 cast who she had worked with as Lenore was Connie Ford (Ada), but Ms Ford was not working that day.  So she felt at home in the studio while still feeling very alone. So that's why I commented that I felt sorry for her.

And for a complete newbie to both soaps like me... both Libi... (I thought this was a word you made up) and Red Swan mean absolutely nothing to me. But I guess I'll find out some day.

Now that is just... horrible and devastating in so many ways. And sounds like a story from a movie. An actress who was once a leading star in a soap opera... decades later returns, but they give her scraps.

Still friends! You guys are so tolerant! I am unable to be friends with people who disagree with me. One single disagree and they are out of my life. (Unless they are cute or buy me presents.)

Maxim -- I'd never thought of it that way, but I suppose that situation could be exaggerated into a movie.  I'm sure Ms Barcroft was paid well for her one-day in the studio, but still it was difficult for long-term AW fans to see her playing such an insignificant role.

The Red Swan is a storyline, yes, later, and I won't spoil anything, so this is a safe communication. Anyway, we heard about the Red Swan each & every day for about a year and a half. There were reasons, justifiable ones, why it went on so long. But, all of us were about ready to scream if they talked about that Da&ned Swan one more single time! Alternately some of us wished just to get our hands on it, for maybe 11 minutes & that would be enough time to destroy that awful thing.

Libidizone is the AMC equivalent. It was a chemical that made people lose all their inhibitions.

Y&R it's reliquary. Which is something like an ancient article.

    • You make some really good points here. I think Abigail Klein is quite likeable she's just been written as very wishy washy and cookie cutter.   There is nothing that makes her stand out as Patch/Kayla's daughter like you stated. Ron never seemed to have a clear idea what to do with Stephanie or who to pair her with.  I do think it's a fixable problem, but she needs to get away from Alex, IMO.
    • NuTed comes off looking and sounding like a weakling compared to both Nicole and Leslie. Smh.

ENOUGH WITH THE VIOLIN. I'M READY TO BURN IT.
    • Keith you're doing amazing Sweetie
    • I'm not caring for Ashley right now. Initially, I liked her but not right now. Currently, I don't care for her individually or with Derek. I can understand her not liking him doing stuff like leaving things around/drinking straight out of the carton. But she still comes across as immature and sheltered to me with her approach in trying to deal with him/their relationship. You can tell she's never really lived with anyone before outside of Jan. She needs to grow up a bit and get some more life experience. Derek probably should just move out at this point. I don't want Ashley near Andre either. Andre has grown on me and deserves someone more interesting and more mature.

Leslie gave her blow-by-blow. Pay attention, Kat.

date: Thursday, May 15 | Teresa Zimmerman, Judy Tate | Anthony Pascarelli Uh-oh, trouble is a-brewin' between Bill and Dana. What could come out of them meeting up? Derek is a complete slob; I'd dump him over it. I really would. I appreciate that Ted is not running away from his actions nor trying to really excuse them. He's accepting them. But I need more responsibility to be owned up to. Bill just read Dana to filth about her names and wigs, and I kind of love it. They definitely are giving villainous lovers to me. Ashley isn't this loose or at ease with Derek... but she is with Andre. This is proof that Andre is the guy for her! And just as I wanted to try and forgive Ted, he goes and tries to gaslight Naomi in defence of Bill. Ouch... imagine your "mom" forgetting it was your birthday. How horrible. Eva deserves better. Eva, you should've kept your mouth shut... because you just put Laura's accident back on Dana's mind. Once again, Katherine is smarter than a lot of soap cops; she may be in the business with Chelsea, but she should be going out for detective. And I am sure no one will believe her again. June is still being June; I pray she does not change to appease others. If my boyfriend keeps having to come to me after things have happened... that is a red flag to me that there is something wrong in our relationship. So, Dana does not like the word "crazy", does she? Because, if the shoe fits... maybe she would prefer clinical terms instead? The Dupree grandchildren love recording things they likely shouldn't be. Audio. Video. It's a trend/character trait. Yes, Dana has a very vivid account... let that speak volumes, Katherine. Do not fall for this bitch's scheme again. You know the truth. Seek it. Notes: "The role of..." voiceover is back, and I couldn't be happier about it. I miss those voiceovers so much. Welcome aboard, Keith D. Richardson, because you are excellent! Hitting the ground running, emoting, and most importantly, no rocking or swaying while you're meant to be still.
    • Miss Kitty Kat Brat is my favorite nickname!
    • He knows Krissy cut the brake line, I believe.
