Y&R: Oh, you Lane fans say the darndest things!

This manages to be both delusional and inspiring at the same time.

"GG,

that is internal angst for them and character developement. At least they are giving them a s/l right after their wedding and you know CK/DG is going to knock it out of the ball park with their fantastic acting because they play emotion so well.Eventually they will have their baby but it is going to be good watching them trying and dealing with all the angst

.I am just going to be happy waching them get ready for their wedding and I know a lot of people who are too.

Just remember to vote in all things Lane."

This demands a rapid and fierce stroke of a sword, to the death, samurai style. Just cut all their illogical guts and hope that sanity is present in their core. For while I do despise their opinion, I respect their devotion, however blind it is, for Lane. I wish I had the same passion from my irritation.

Thus I ask, if we vote in all things Sane, will we get less Lane? Does voting on the cbs.com site matter in the end?

I honestly don't think they do. I bet there're some lazy interns working for y&r who monitor those boards to find out what the "audience" likes and dislikes.

They read that and think everyone's in love with slice of sweetbread #1 and slice of sweetbread #2.

I refused to sign up or go to that site( CBS.com ) because I don't know how to deal with those Lane banners which are everywhere every thread and post

and the Lane fan base I believe that they put a board

because they did that when Chloe's paternity came out

It is really why I find SON to be an oasis. Mostly just all you smart people...not so many fanboys and girls oozing over a particular character or pair. Those fanbases get dumped into the "Love/Hate" threads, and we never have to to go there.

It's most sick and ill-conceived couple I've seen in ages. It's obvious that they listen to those crazy fans, why else would they give them this much airtime? If they had any sense of what's wrong and right, they'd realize just how utterly ridiculous this couple is.

Ugh.

But then why do they constantly invest in that? Who the heck unleashed that puppy on the show?

It's surprising how blind the writers can be about some stuff, yet so brilliant in other stuff.

Remember, too, they're trying to attract little fan girls. The best thing for them would be growth in the age 13-17 female demographic, because people think that is the "future".

It seems clear to me that Lane...and especially Lily...works for those 13-17 year old girls. So, if that is the case, let them have their Lane. And the rest of us can watch the more palatable stuff.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.
