Members Faulkner
In December 2008, Y&R was ninth for all network entertainment programs in time-spent viewing (115.6 minutes per viewer), according to Nielsen Online. It also had 323,000 unique viewers for the month of December, which rivals shows like The Office. Also of note, YouTube and Hulu viewing aren't included in these numbers. http://tvbythenumbers.com/2009/02/12/lost-...ing-lists/12722
Members MarkH
Thank you! It further builds the thesis that Y&R might be the lone survivor...
Members Y&RWorldTurner
But Y&R is also the most widely distributed soap on the internet. That had to have been a significant factor.

Members MarkH
Sure...but Y&R doesn't get a "penalty" for being widely distributed. That just means that Sony/Bell/CBS are smart to understand how to achieve monster #s for Y&R. As DaytimeFan has suggested, there is genuine intelligence in behind that program. Members DaytimeFan
Sony and the Bells are very, very determined to distribute Y&R as far as possible. Overseas, online, SoapNet, whatever they can do, they will. And see what some hard work does!
Members jcar03
This is funny because this week they have been terrible about getting Y&R episodes up in a timely matter (I don't know about the other CBS soaps). Also, the CBS viewer can be a pain in the butt to view. It took me over a hour to view Y&R as few weeks ago when the show is 38-39 minutes without commericals.
