GH: Spinelli Has Asberger's, Not That There's Anything Wrong With That

Everyone loves GH's Damien Spinelli. In our ongoing character series "On the Soap Shrink's Couch..." real life therapist Damon Jacobs diagnoses Spinelli with Asberger's---but also asks if a diagnosis is necessary at all for someone whose symptoms are so well integrated into his life in Port Charles.

Spinelli Is Annoying, And There's A LOT Wrong With That :P

Everyone doesn't love Spinelli, but I definitely do. If they do explore Asberger's on the show, I hope it doesn't change his personality too much. I could go with s slightly calmer Spin, but i don't want a complete personality change.

Spinelli is by far one og the bright spots on GH. now that may be sad, but its true.

I personally love him. I really like how hes not normal, hes not like every other young guy on the show. He stands out and he works well with everyone. But that has a lot more to with Bradford than anything else.

Didn't they do this already on screen when Matt Hunter was introduced? Didn't he want to do personality tests to determine what was wrong with Spinelli, and Maxie got upset at Matt's attempted diagnosis? Was Asberger's mentioned?

I love you Marlena, but I disagree with your very first statement here!

Spinelli is an annoying, annoying, annoying toad. I can't stand him, the way he speaks, the way he dresses...the way he's cowers around like he's feeble. I hate the little nicknames. Spare me that Valkyrie, Stone Cold, Jackal, Maximista [!@#$%^&*]. I'd permit one more mob war to GH if he got caught in the middle,
