WORD. Especially about Reese being the guy in the relationship. You really think Reese and Zach will bond, though? The fact that sort of resents Zach makes her immediately suspect in AMC World, no? Still, I am really liking Reese and Bianca. And AMC are not holding back on the kissage which I honestly thought they would shy away from.

I'm not 100% sold on Natalia either. You are right, for her to be the offspring of Jesse and a so-far great Rebecca, Natalia needs to stand out. She needs to be a young Tonya Lee Williams or Victoria Rowell. The resentment and fire should pour from her eyes. Perhaps she will grow on me like the actress who plays Randi has. Or perhaps DW will take her to one side and give her some tips to fine-tune her performance. She couldn't do worse than look at how he inhabits Jesse. Since she grew up with him, it would stand to reason that natalia has adopted some of Jesse's mannerisms.

And can I just give a shout-out to Cornelius Smith who gets better and better? I totally buy him as Angie and Jesse's son.

LOL. That spitting monkey thing NEVER gets old.

Aren't comfortable? Eden's been playing an openly lesbian character for EIGHT YEARS! And I doubt that Tamara Braun signed on to play Bianca's love interest if she wasn't "completely comfortable" playing a lesbian.

Nonsense. Nonsense, I say.

And as for "sweeping comments," let me just say this... that would be true if fans of Zendall didn't hate on every single character that presented a challenge to Zendall. They hated Hannah. They hate Greenlee. They hate Annie... and now, coincidentally enough, they hate on Reese?

Please. Puh-leeze, I say.

What is it about Reese (of all people) that is perceived to be a threat to Zendall?

Was she holding a gun to Bianca and Zach's head re: a second baby? No. Though some might make the leap to say that it was probably all her idea (was it?), therefore all her fault.

Is she a threat to Zendall's marriage? LMAO. Don't think either Zach or a coma patient are her type.

But she is dating Bianca. Would people prefer Bianca alone and saintly and non-sexual and totally at the disposition of the Kane family with advice and comfort?

Is there hesitation at outright trashing of two beloved characters (Zach and Bianca), so the newbie becomes the whipping boy?

Honestly, I like Zendall but sometimes it seems that lines are being constantly drawn in the sand -- you are either with Zendall or against them. This is only going to kill the show if people start gunning hard against nearly every other character on the same damn show. It's a soap, you need a conflictual, ambiguous dynamic sometimes as well as the love and kisses and romance.

On GL, there was a very vocal Michelle/Danny fanbase which would not let anybody (I mean ANYBODY) breathe in the general direction of their favorite pairing. The result? Manny became totally isolated, any SL involving a third person tanked, and they had to be written off the show because the stories and their interaction with others just dried up.

Can they just give Debbi Morgan an Emmy. She is the most real actress in Daytime. I loved the little Dr's pow wow abut David. It seems so real to have people working at the hospital. I wouldn't mind a bigger focus on that group. Sigh, if only nurse Julia Keefer were still around.

    • So many things would have had to be different for Mary to want to go back to Reginald. It could have been interesting if it had been handled completely differently but as it was we had a very black and white Mary good/Reginald bad. If she had been able to ignore his worldly crimes and how he treated his own children there was still the fact that he had separated her from her children. Maybe if they had shown us more intimacy and affection between them and had allowed him to have real vulnerabilities it could have worked but as it played out they didn't do much to present him with any sympathetic hook. There are a lot of ways to define wanting things to work. Fans are mostly thinking of preserving or restoring characters and an atmosphere that drew them to the show. The sponsor may only be thinking of the bottom line. When a producer or HW comes in and decides that their vision will deliver for the bottom line and they need to fire most of the cast in order to do it it can feel very much like not caring.
    • I remember this getting a lot of criticism at the time.
    • Maeve breaks me reading that letter. If you ever need to cry, look it up. Other than the dopey line about Henry wanting to come home to Van's rice (or tapioca) pudding (VANESSA CHAMBERLAIN DOES NOT COOK, Y'all...) it's a sweet sign-off to one of the best father/daughter relationships on soaps. Other than Ross, and Bill (if he says something, which I assume he does) and the letter, the rest of it is BS. I haven't watched it in a while, but it typifies what I dislike most about events that should be laden in history. The writers are too lazy to do the work and get it right. And it becomes about making sure characters X, Y and Z make their guarantees. Roger being there is an abomination. Henry never ever saw Nola as a gold-digger. She and Quint were practically engaged before he even knew Quint was his son. Before that, he was fairly close to Bea and enjoyed Nola's spirit. And Henry never helped Rick become an Eagle Scout.  I get that maybe you don't want to play Amanda#1 or Dinahs 1&2, or Billy, Trish or Alan #1 clips, but damn it....don't make stuff up. I'd have much rather watched clips from Henry, Vanessa and Ross' early days than Rick blather on, or nuMichelle try and dig for a human-like emotion or wonder why after TEN YEARS, Dinah and Quint have never met.   Do not remember anyone named Tina. I barely remember Dahlia, and that's mostly because for a while, I saw Sharon Leal in everything after she left GL.   Reva and Josh airhogs? ALWAYS, darling. ALWAYS. RME. I hate to tar and feather Robert Newman with that brush, but DAMN.
    • Oooooooooooooo a Jazmen script off of a Sara Bibel breakdown.    I'm intrigued. Lol. Yeah, one thing I can say for sure...when SilkPress is about to have a crazy moment, they do give her music.
    • I am so happy now. Reminds me of the 80s show I loved. Ron really did the cast and fans dirty. The only people complaining are those who only knew Ron and his whiplash plot driven stories

    • Source for this? Especially since Benz was already on AMC as Linda Connor.
