October 24, 200817 yr Member Here are some great pics via P&G Blog site: P&G Blog of Nicole's last day on the set; and she was great through tough period in recasting the role of Cassie from the popular Laura Wright, Tammy's death (she did get an Emmy nod), and crazy marriage to Reverend-wannabe Josh. Too bad Cassie is leaving because it's quite interesting with her recent storyline with Cyrus and she will be missed; Good luck with your pregnancy and new marriage Nicole! Now pair Cyrus with Blake, bring Philip back, give a storyline to Ashlee/Alex, give Rick & Frank a romantic female partner, reunite Mallet with Dinah and put Marina with Shayne, make Coop gay, shoot a cupid arrow to Billy & Vanessa; however, thank goodness for Josh is no longer a minister, noticed more airtime of the Boudreau family which is a plus, love the pairings of Bill/Lizzie, Jeffrey/Reva, and Olivia/Natalia. The current writing is looking very promising on GL and I am enjoying it. Edited October 24, 200817 yr by Rocket Man
October 24, 200817 yr Member Good riddance. Cassie should have been written off a long time ago. The latest SL with her and Cyrus is just perverse. Edited October 24, 200817 yr by Greg's GL
October 24, 200817 yr Member I never liked her version of Cassie, but I hope NF does well in future endeavors.
October 25, 200817 yr Member The tiny, tiny, tiny number of people pictured at her farewell seems sad to me....
October 25, 200817 yr Member I think they just get the people who work that day. Which means those are the other people who will be in the episode with her. I'm gonna miss NF. I liked her.
October 26, 200817 yr Member That was a set party for the people working with her that day. Her last shooting day was the Friday before the fan club luncheon and there was a larger get together for everyone sometime over that weekend and her wedding was, I think, the Saturday after that. I'll miss her too. She really started making Cassie interesting after she and Josh broke up. I think she's a good actress but she was very different from LW which made it too big of an adjustment for some and she was stuck in a horrible story with terrible writing from practically her first day. October 26, 200817 yr Member I never cared for the Cassie character. I am glad the character is gone. Bring back Roxie.
October 30, 200817 yr Member Where do you think the photos were shot? It didn't even look like a studio. It looked more like a storage wharehouse.
October 30, 200817 yr Member I never cared for the Cassie character. I am glad the character is gone. Bring back Roxie. What's the deal with Roxie? I vaguely remmeber her or perhaps reading about her. Why did she leave Springfield? And why hasn't she come back for all of Reva's deaths? Gosh that last sentence can only be written about a soap opera..lol!

Gosh that last sentence can only be written about a soap opera..lol! Roxie had a nervous breakdown and was institutionalized, supposedly because of the stress she was under because of her boyfriend's (Johnny Bauer) cancer. I think at this point it's unclear where she is. She was initially sent to Switzerland, but later on there was mention of her being in a Sanitarium either in Tulsa or Chicago. There hasn't been much mention of her lately. Not sure if she's aware of Reva's "deaths" or not, but she did send a letter to Reva around 2001 or 2002, the last time she married Josh. I often wonder why they never recast the role. The original actress was so-so and certainly not unreplacable, IMO.

Rght behind them in the first picture is the movie theatre face from the Main Street set. Edited November 5, 200817 yr by RoseVioletDaisy
