I didn't watch much of AMC, just occasionally peeking at it.... can anyone explain why is mostly every AMC fan hating Krystal?

Most AMC fans hate Krystal solely because she and Babe kept Miranda from Bianca for a year. There's other reasons too (see dp's post), but that's the main one.

Add me to the camp that like Krystal. She has become such an established character in only one contract cycle. Plus, Bobbie Eakes is superb and is doing some of her best work at AMC. I want to see her in a hot romance, which Krystal's tryst with Tad is not. It is very Benny/Donna if you ask me.

In terms of Opal, AMC should be offering Larson a contract and not killing off my favorite gem. Opal is poised to become a matriarch on the show. I would love to see her pick up where Myrtle left off.
