I dont see the chemistry that Nick has with Phyllis. I think they are boring. Brad and Sharon on the other hand have potential.

As much as I dislike Jack Smith time to time, I can't really call him a "hack" per se. He's had his faults but he's provided a lot of great things. To me he would be more of a hack if he completely ruined the show(like GH, I guess), but he hasn't done that, everybody is still in character and the storylines are usually good.
