Members sudz4u
According to SON records, Trent Jones won 5 times, not 6...
Administrator Toups Posted September 12, 2008 Administrator Share Posted September 12, 2008 I just double checked. It's 6. I forgot to give him the 1997 win with Y&R (which was a double win that year with AMC). Now I gotta double check all of Y&R's writers from 1997. Thanks for pointing out the discrepency, Sudz. Members Y&RWorldTurner
Trent Jones does have 19 nominations - 11 for Y&R, 6 for GL, 1 for ATWT, and 1 for Ryan's Hope. He's won twice for Y&R, 3 times for GL, and once for Ryan's Hope. IMBD is very accurate with their awards information, on other things, not so much. Members SteveFrame
If anybody finds any errors please point them out. I used the records here, along with IMDb, issues of SOD, SOW and old issues of Daytime TV magazine as my sources. I went through them year by year. The one I am most antsy on is the Mary Ryan and Mary Ryan Munisteri. Most sources say they are the same person so that is how I listed it, but I did find one source that said the Mary Ryan involved in soaps the last few years is not the same Mary Ryan or Mary Ryan Munisteri from years ago. Right now I have them combined as the same person.
Administrator Toups Posted September 12, 2008 Administrator Share Posted September 12, 2008 Same here. Please point out any errors I have! Glad you're doing this , Steve. The more people who do it, the more accurate we can be. Yeah, she confuses me too. There's also a Mary Ryan who directs for OLTL.
Members SteveFrame
Toups that Mary Ryan on OLTL is what makes her even more confusing. I have always been told by some in the business and looking at some sources that Mary Ryan Munisteri wrote of course for Ryan's Hope and then Claire Labine hired her to write for General Hospital when she took over as HW. She was then credited as Mary Ryan. Several sources have given me that info. But there is an entry at Wikipedia plus the entry at IMDb that says the Mary Ryan who writers for GH and the Mary Ryan who directs OLTL are the same person. So it just leaves me totally confused. Administrator Toups Posted September 13, 2008 Administrator Share Posted September 13, 2008 I was just told that the writers: Mary Ryan and Mary Ryan Munisteri are the same person. Mary Ryan the director is a different person. So that goes along the lines of what you said. I think IMDB is wrong.
Members Sylph
Can the same be said about Trent Jones? I mean is the person whose Finnegan is now in pre-production and who wrote for Threat Matrix the same as daytime's Trent?
Administrator Toups Posted September 13, 2008 Administrator Share Posted September 13, 2008 Yeah, they're different people.
