Amen. I missed Thursday's (I am sure) pivotal key-returning episode. All I got from Lily yesterday was a pout and a "I don't feel like being cheered up." It was like witnessing a super-mild case of PMS.

I did LOL when Chloe did the whole "Yes. YES, I'll marry you!" thing. It's like she's taking soap opera standard dialogue and turning it on its head, giving the audience a massive wink in the meantime.

I still cannot get into the Newman siblings being so entitled and snobby with Adam. Yes, Adam is scheming and up to no good, but the way they held up their well-connected superiority to him... was that supposed to make me root for them? They can't even pull the rug from under him without amassing a gang-like posse consisting of their mother, stuporific JT and Neil. I'm surprised Phyllis wasn't there to cheer on her heroic "Sir Nicholas of Newman."

I'm probably projecting too much on the hug that Michael gave Kevin, huh. The Ashram scenes were diverting enough, although I don't know how much more I can stomach of Gloria and Gary Ewing bathing each other down with their tongues. Miracle of miracles, though: Colleen is actually making me like Amber.

Cat, when did you steal my brain and all my thoughts?

Oh please! Viewers would turn away in droves if CK was fired.

Hah. Maybe three or four folks. But that would be all.

Now, now, you tease us.

I am NOT pro-DSLily. I thought that actress was emotionally limited, in part because (as with TS) the producers tried to make her hide her accent (NY), and so she couldn't focus on her performance.

I definitely missed CK when she left the first time...she was perfect as that tortured teenage ingenue. I didn't mind that she was unlike Dru, because she was a pampered Parisian princess.

But life has handed her hard knocks (dead mother where she witnessed the death, cheating husband, the Chloe affair, the statutory rape and Chlamydia (sp?), date rape drug, reveal that Malcolm was her daddy, and on and on). That would harden a girl. Even Lauralee Bell managed to harden Christine over time. But not CKLily.

I don't know whether to blame the actress or the writing/direction, but something has gone horribly awry.

This actress is not channeling any depth or maturity, and that is KILLING the romance with Daniel Goddard. Most of the audience is rooting for Chloe to get him, because this version of Lily has become so vapid. That is NOT good. That is not the story they think they are telling.

This is a huge problem for the show, because they have mistakenly moved this to the front burner with an actress who is NOT equipped.

MarkH, I agree with every single word written there. She just doesn't cut it.

Only you but not me, I'll be watching the show again if CK was fired but I wouldn't watch her last days :P

CK is a fan favorite (not on this board, of course), an Emmy nominee and as far as younger actors go, a vet. Viewers have seen her grow up on the show. Letting CK go would inspire the same negative fan reaction that Camryn Grimes' dismissal had.

Most of the "CK-haters" are DS fans who are just still pissed that she was fired, just like with the AL/TS situation.

Oh great, you again. <_<

Actually, I personally wouldn't stop watching. I would be royally pissed off, but nothing would ever make me stop watching. But if viewers tuned out when Adrianne Leon left, they sure as hell would tune out if/when CK left.

Negative fan reaction? the fans would be celebrating, they weren't celebrating when Cassie was killed, but they will thrown a party if CK got the pink slip and guess what, it's at my place :D

There was no negative reaction when she was first let go in 2005. And there was only negative reaction when she returned.

Were those boards by any chance called "Christel Khalil lovers board" ?

I just want some other actress (Not CK, not DS) to play the role. I want to feel sympathy for the character. I don't want to turn my eyes every time I see Lily.

I hear that some want to boycott the Y&R because Cane and Lily broke up, I am trying to wake up, how many boycott was launched when LML destroyed most fo the characters and changed history. As a long time viewer I will never boycott. This is my show. If i have not left with the Prentiss, Brooks, Olivia and Nate and all the other characters why would I leave for the break up of Cane and Lily. I wish I liked them but I don't.

I am not a hater, I am just a Y&R fan, and boycotting for such silliness is beyond me. I was on CBS and someone was saying they could not sleep. Imagine that.
