OLTL: Discussion for the week July 14-18

I wouldn't expect Tess to feel bad, after that whole retconned back story. But there's probably a better way to express it, a more moving way, than THAT. The thing about Tess is that she was always wounded, always lashing out in pain at people. Now she's just twirling her moustache.

But Viki was there for Tess when she gave birth to Bree, Tess seemed to be more at peace about Viki, in fact I remember they had scenes in her bedroom where Viki said she would always be there for Tess and Jessica.

I miss PC, what a presence that man has onscreen.

If there was one thing this show needs to redo, it is that whole Niki taking Jess to bars resulting in Tess. I will never believe that destruction of Viki as the caring doing anything and everything for her children that Viki has always been.

RC needs to fix that one, in my view. I just don't believe and never will.

Well, yeah. But it was Niki. It was a bad rewrite, but frankly, in the list of bad rewrites, it's not THAT bad. And it gave some great material to the actors involved.

I think Jessica not being a Buchanan is by FAR the greater crime.

Yup. She's awful and BW is playing her very cartoonishly. Reminds me of when Nikki was running around town in 02-03 and Slezak was soooo campy that it was unbelievable that anyone wouldn't know it was Nikki and not Vicki. And what's with that bottle of poison with the skull and cross bones? Carlvati better watch it. He's good and camp is good but OLTL is a little on camp overdrive these days.
