I wish they would get someone else to be over the soapnet programming:

I would love to see primetime line up start at 6 pm:

6:00: Y&R

7:00: AMC

8:00: OLTL

9:00: GH

10:00: DAYS

11:00: SoapTalk (Hosted By Linda Dano & Stephen Schetnez) (spelling wrong, i know)

12:00: Loving/The City

12:30: Capitol

1:00 am: Ryan's Hope

1:30: PC

2:00: Another World

3:00: Santa Barbara

4:00: Somerset/Texas

5:00: The Edge of The Night

6-10 am: repeats of yesterday's episodes

11: Dallas

12: Knots Landing

1: Sisters

2:00: The Doctors

3:00: Falcon Crest

4:00: Dynasty

5:00: classic episode (Days, Y&R, AMC, OLTL, or GH)

Run the weekend marathons starting at 9:00 am and the hour break between them show a classic episode or specials such as: reunion episodes of classic shows, where are they now specials, Would you return to daytime specials, and so on.

I would be happiest if they could just find a way to add Santa Barbara to the programming. Most everyone can agree that it was one of the best soaps. We all miss it so I don't see how the ratings wouldn't be good enough to support it. The royalties can't be that bad.....

The story is that JFP filled it with popular music. So, negotiating the music rights for each episode would be far too time consuming, and the royalties too expensive.

That's apparently what put the kibosh on Soapnet showing the full run of Ryan's Hope.

What it translates to is that Soapnet is unwilling to spend the money. Just like they won't close-caption Ryan's Hope. Zero investment in legacy properties.
