Members Shawn
Narnia beat King Kong this weekend at the Box Office!.... Narnia, King of the Jungle We don't want to read any religious implications into this, but … The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which has been battling Peter Jackson's King Kong remake for three holiday weeks, finally has gotten resurrected and has climbed to the top of the box-office heap. For the four-day New Year's weekend, Narnia earned $32.8 million, edging out Kong's $31.6 million. Rounding out the top five were Jim Carrey's remake of Fun With Dick and Jane (in third with $21 million), Steve Martin's remake sequel Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (in fourth place with $19.3 million) and the Jennifer Aniston comedy Rumor Has It …, which jumped up three spots from last week to hit fifth with $11.6 million. Yeah, that box-office slump is so 2005 courtesy of www.movies.go.com Also, on www.eonline.com, I read that its the fourth highest grossing movie of the year, with $225.7 million in ticket sales.
