Alanis Morissette New Album

The album is absolutely amazing!!! I liked most things from Alanis, but this is probably her best work.

Favorites:

Not as We- one of the best ballads I've ever heard...certainly Alanis' best.

Tapes- Kind of eerie...nice feel.

Straitjacket- Kind of funny. It's like an updated "You Oughta Know"...very angry.

Versions of Violence- Meaningful lyrics and a rocky beat...very enjoyable.

I think this is easily the best album released this year. Seriously "Madness", "Straitjacket", "Orchid", "Not As We", "The Guy Who Leaves" and "Tapes" are very strong works I believe they rank among her best. The first single is rather forgettable by comparison. But I am really feeling "Straitjacket" at the moment.

Eeee! Loving the Straitjacket love. You go to most of her fan communities and they are split on this sound. Alot of people don't like it, however its the new Alanis for me. It should be a single. IMO it could rejuvenate her career commercially, not that it matters though. I can't stop listening to it. Its been a long time coming. Her best work in a decade by far.
