Other than the continued dragging of storylines it was an OK show.

Adriana was bitchy.....Todd was scary all up in Coles ear like Mike Tyson....Dorian is once again scheming.

Talia/John/Antonio ruse is horrible, the worst part of the show for me.

I take it this is meant to be the week of April 14th unless a week's past and I slept through it? Could happen...

The only stand-out moment of today, which brought me out of slumber, was that Cole can act. The Cole/Todd scenes were absolutely awesome and had an intensity that's needed on OLTL. Perhaps the Talia/John/Antonio love triangle provides that for some but to me it's just horrible and I believe it to be nothing but a set-up that's revealed to find Antonio playing angry to coax Ramsey into a mistake so he along w/ John and Talia can rid LPD of Lee.

BTW did anyone catch Dorian cover up for Adriana when she lied about where she was and said she bought wine yet had no wine with her?? I thought that was funny and showed what an amateur Adriana is. Adriana is becoming a b!tch like Dorian but no where close to the manipulator/schemer Dorian is.

It did seem like the guy playing Cole finally tapped into something that made him step up to the plate today. I liked seeing something other than emptiness in his eyes. Now he just needs to work on the other emotions. Those Todd/Cole scenes were so intense. I thought Cole was gonna just start scrapping. That was a welcome change.

I hate Adriana. Once Rex finds out that Shane is his and also all of her scheming, he's gonna send her packing.

Not much progress on any of the storylines, though.

^^^^^^ WORD!

There really hasn't been much progress lately in any of the s/l's and the the s/l's with progress are WTF moments!

Are all soaps dragging right now or just OLTL??

*I have not been able to watch todays eppy just yet so I will comment later on it when I get home.

Thank God for DVR :)

I thought todays eppy was good, especially since it was a break from the teens and Mctalonio.

I loved the Viki/Charlie scenes.

I loved the interaction between Bo/Nora, Lindsay/Dorian, and Nora/Clint.

I actually believed Gigi's dream for a while, I wonder how Rex will react when he does find out the truth?

Now I know why Gigi is so fearful to tell rex the truth.

I never watched when Cris/Jessica were an item but their scenes were very natural, I loved the playfulness between them.

Sarah/Nash=UGH!

I'm watching OLTL for the first time in probably a year or two. It's very good (I started watching when Margaret had Todd in the cabin, probably New Year's 2006? and then stopped around the time Higley got stale, after the Daniel's a gay serial killer story...)

I really think Starr should tell Blair about her situation. She would be there for her.

    • One of the dumbest situations (Lando) ever. What audience member is going to invest in a storyline with a recast they don't like and a triangle where one character is short-term? It bombed as it should have done. So much of JFP's tenure just reeks of desperation. I don't get how someone could produce SB (which did have flaws but was often brilliant) but make so many terrible mistakes at GL.   I still think JFP would have worked better as a director and music supervisor. Her music work at SB was top notch.

    • We see the same with GH, where Mark Teschner, the casting director, reportedly has less say since Frank Valentini took over. Some producers want to take over every aspect of their shows.  I think Lando may have been a CBS push.
    • No idea but she won Emmys & she was the Casting Director at the same time for both ATWT & GL. She hired Lisa Brown with no job for her. Then Marland made Brown his muse so he created both Iva & Nola for her. But, I think we know that Jill does what Jill wants.
    • I did notice a decline in the quality of the performers being cast once Betty R vacated/retired from her position. We would have been spared from the nightmares of some of the castings that dominated the show in the last decade or so of the soap. JFP was an example of someone, no matter the gender, who had no business being in the position they were in.
    • If Betty Rea was the casting director, why was so much of GL during JFP's reign cast by her? Walker, Deas, Crampton, Lando, etc. JFP takes credit for Dusay as well. What is the point of having a casting director, if you don't let her do her job? What happened when Rea left?
    • So much on here slips my mind but this is the first I remember hearing of Peterson's passing. Very sad. Nell was a thankless role, clearly set up for a cheating storyline with Frank, but Peterson did her best.  Betty Rea Rea was the casting director for the soap opera “Guiding Light” from 1970 to 1996 and simultaneously the casting director for “As the World Turns” from 1979 to 1983.
    • Sorry, just one more post on the Thorntons. How did Ruth and Edna feel about each other prior to Tad dating Dotty?
    • I can't remember exactly but I think it may be 1995 as Jake was trying to hide from a loan shark.
