Monday's episode was decent.

If Lindsey was any more jealous, her head would explode.

I wonder what Nat is gonna do now that she knows the truth about Jared.

I'll withhold any comments on the Starr prego sitch until more of the story plays out.

I'm just waiting for my girl Gigi to run Adriana outta town! Send that b!tch to France in tears! LOL. If Adriana left town, maybe I could like Rex again.

Did any longtime viewers recognize the woman at Lee Ramsey's place on Wednesday's show? That was Janet Zarish. She was on the show back in the late 80s as Mary Lyn Denison's mother (and Renee's ex-hooker friend), Lee Halpern.

I happened to catch Thursday's show. It's been a long while!

Pluses:

Nora and Lindsey.

Roxy babes. I could listen to Ilene Kirsten talk all day.

Dorian being her usual self.

This evil Ramsey dude. The actor is so good at being sinister.

Strangely, Talia & John. I cannot believe I just wrote that.

The young actor who plays Matthew.

Minus:

This BE talk isn't doing anything for me. Mainly because I tuned in three months ago and Jared & Natalie were regusrgitating the exact same convo back then.

The pace seems a little weird and disjointed. Maybe it's because I've been away.

For some reason the episode felt like a lot of people running to stand still. Like plot didn't really advance. People were just marking time.

LOL at Carlotta's look at Talia and John talking in the diner. She is such a busybody!

I wonder what that whole business on Thursday's show was when Roxy and Charlie were talking about a guy named "Jumbo Molino"...all I kept thinking of was that on Ilene's old soap, RH, there was a character named Jumbo Marino, played by a guy who kept reading the teleprompter. :P

This stuff about Talia and John really came out of nowhere. It's stupid that everyone's giving Talia attitude about it and she hasn't done anything wrong.

Didn't the actor who plays Charlie (Bruce Kerwin, I think he's called) used to be on Ryan's Hope? Maybe he and Ilene have an in-joke about this Jumbo Mumbo fella.

LOL, reminds of when You Tube had the pilot episode of Ryan's Hope. Young Ilene Kristen was quite the teleprompter reader herself. She kept panting at odd moments in the dialogue and looking out from the corner of her eye at the 'prompter! Of course, she has come a LONG way since then and will always be one of my faves.

Gary Tomlin needs to go! He has to be the worst writer I've ever seen. It's so clear that he doesn't plan out his stories, he just writes whatever comes to his mind. I mean seriously, one episode Marcie and Michael are all lovey dovey and the next both think the other isn't paying enough attention to them. WTF? Same goes for Jessica and Nash. And Sarah and Cristian. And Antonio and Talia. The list just goes on and on.

Thursday and Fridays eppys were good but still cannot wait until RC's scripts start airing.

Looking forward to the continuation of Todd/Gigi's talk on Monday.

LMAO......Rex looked sick to his stomach in the previews for Monday when Shane tells him he will be a good father!lol

Roxxy is too funny instigating the whole marriage talk between Charlie/Viki

    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
