I thought of you when I saw the rankings. They came out today. Mizzou is 6th, again. They destroyed SEMO 52-3 yesterday and stayed at 6th.

I don't know what your Dawgs have to do, short of beating USC outright.

That is something I'm glad you and many others are doing. Looking over the issues and making your decision.

LOL! I told all my friends at work who know that I'm an undecided that I wanted to make some bumper stickers.

"I'm both party's worst nightmare- an educated voter"

You would think strength of schedule would count for something. I guess we'll find out in two weeks when we play Arizona State (yes, Lee Corzo is expecting ASU to upset Georgia. There are times I don't like him...hehe). If we are unfeated then and don't jump we'll know what's up. I really feel sorry for Moreno. Our running back deserves Heisman consideration but as long as the munches on ESPN continue to ignore Georgia, they are taking away his exposure to the voters. It's truly crappy for him.

Hillary's attempt to steer female voters may bite her in the butt. She's a pretty devisive female political figure. Saying Palin is not her (meaning Hillary) might drive women to vote for Palin specifically for that reason.

I think that will depend on what she says. It might do that, but if she tells the difference about her stances and the stances of the party......

Who knows how anyone will vote on Election Day.

But see, strength of schedule is still left up to opinion. The top teams are decided by how badly they destroy their opponent, driving scores through the roof. There is no way scores should be as high as they are (There was a high school game here my senior year, where East St. Louis beat Lincoln 93-3).

Then Georgia will NEVER be #1 at the end of the year. Mark Richt does not purposefully run up scores. He'll play third, fourth strings, mascots, cheerleaders or Larry Munson before he would drive up a score.

I saw that and Obama's interview this morning. Biden did answer that question very well, and showed the difference etween personal faith and putting your own personal beliefs above everyone, that is where he drew the line.

I also liked Obama's honesty that his answer was too flip. It shows he can admot when he screwed up and came off as too arrogant (Whether he did or didn't).

I had to stop laughing first. You said he'll play the band and the glee club, huh?

Somebody get that tuba player a helmet. That's what I'm saying!!! LOL! Mark Richt is a good guy and practical. Why risk hurting the guys on the first and second string trying to win a game by a gazillion points. Now if our tuba players can score against your first team, we can't help ya there! hehe

And here's a little article about McCain's "Country First" message. It's a fluffly little piece but still nice...

Interesting. I knew he had a reputation as a hothead but I've heard that about a bunch of politicians in the past not the least of which is Hilary Clinton. The story actually doesn't bother me but again Joe Biden earned more brownie points in the middle of the article by refusing to rise to the bait. I'm really starting to like Biden a lot.

Casey, up until now, I've given the benefit of the doubt about McCain voting with Bush "90% of the time." I knew the message the Democratic party was trying to get out in these types of ads, but I also understood your logic completely, as the President doesn't "vote" on anything. Then I was sitting watching television this evening and saw a political ad in which McCain himself was quoted as saying this in mid-2003 (I believe). The link will take you to a clip similar to the one I saw. Just thought, in the interest of fairness, you'd like to know.

I'd like to eliminate the unanimous votes because every senator voted "with Bush" (or even against Bush) on those and see how often McCain, Obama or Biden voted "with Bush".

Here's a comparison. I'm sure it's not complete but it gives you an idea.

This article is pretty interesting too. It really talks about similarities in the candidates. the article was written in January and predicted McCain and Obama as the most likely nominees which is pretty good considering how close it was between Obama and Hils. It really led me to believe BOTH candidates and their commitment to change.

I think the date of that quote from McCain would be important to note. 2003, was five years ago. Along with W's popularity, much has changed since then. Think about it this way, Barack Obama had yet to be even elected to the US Senate in 2003.

To put things in perspective, you should ask yourself why did McCain make this statement? He made them because he was getting harsh criticism from many Republicans for siding against the Bush administration on many occasions.

cct, just out of curiousity, what state do you live in? I'm wondering where Obama is focusing his ads. I know he pulled ads out in my state, GA.

IA wiccachick, I read an article that said if you take out all of the unanimous votes, McCain has voted "with" Bush 45% of the time since 2001.

If I didnt know any better, I would have mistaked Bristol Palin for Jenna Bush!

OMG! She actually is a normal teenager!

Damn you Sarah palin for not having a real kid.

So Warren Buffet, who is worth $56 biliion dollars, should pay the exact same amount of taxes as someone working 3 jobs and is being taxed to death? That is what you are saying?

No, what i am saying is just because they make more doesnt eman they should pay a higer percent. everyone should be taxed the same. and obvsly, if you make more you would pay more. like this person explained...

Some people do seriously believe in a flat tax option and it's not as crazy as you make it sound. It's been used before instead of a graduated rate scale. It means that Warren Buffett who is worth $56 billion dollars would pay the same tax RATE as everyone else on income. Surely the average American would understand that doesn't mean that he pays the same tax dollar as everyone else. And his WORTH is not taxed just like your worth is not taxed as the system currently stands. Your income is taxed. So if Warren already paid taxes on that money as it was earned and if for some bizarre reason it wasn't invested where he earned interest income on that money during the last tax year, he would not owe any additional tax on his $56 billion dollars. His tax bill would be $0 if he had $0 income.

Honestly, the Fair Tax is my preffered tax plan.
