Because there just appears to be more prejudice and racism towards blacks than there is with a woman...but I still think it might be dangerous for a woman to be president as well

It's dangerous for any person to be President when there are people who dont want you to be whether your black, white, a woman, or gay for that matter. There are people who could want to kill Barack, there are people who could want to kill Hillary...fair. But I feel that to go on speculating about who would want to kill which one more is just not cool.

DA knows something.

From CNN:

(CNN) – Barack Obama will formally capture the Democratic presidential nomination soon after next week's final primaries, the Illinois senator's top campaign aide is predicting.

In an interview with the New York Daily News, Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod said that after the June 3 primaries in South Dakota and Montana, Obama will "be at the number we need to claim the nomination."

"We're very close now," Axelrod said. "When the primaries end, I think, we'll be where we need to be. … We'll be at the number we need to claim the nomination."

According to CNN's latest estimate, Obama is now 52 delegates short of clinching the Democratic nomination while Clinton is 246 delegates short of the magic number. There are 86 pledged delegates up for grabs in the remaining three contests. Just over 200 superdelegates also have not publicly declared who they are supporting.

Obama is unlikely to clinch the nomination with pledged delegates alone, but his campaign has said it expects enough superdelegates will declare their support of the Illinois senator soon after the final two primaries.

Axelrod's comments come two days after Bill Clinton suggested some are trying to “push and pressure and bully” superdelegates to make up their minds prematurely.

The former president also suggested Sunday that if the New York senator ended the primary season with an edge in the popular vote, it would be a significant development.

"If you vote for her and she does well in Montana and she does well in Puerto Rico, when this is over she will be ahead in the popular vote,” said Clinton.

I marvel at this. I can't imagine why these people would still want to be in a party that did the things alleged in this suit.

Protest planned before hearing in Florida lawsuitPosted: 06:10 PM ET

From CNN Associate Producer Martina Stewart, CNN's Susan Candiotti

(CNN) – Victor DiMaio, the plaintiff in a refiled lawsuit aimed at forcing the DNC to seat Florida’s delegates to the Democratic convention, has announced that a protest will be held in Tampa, Florida on the eve of the hearing in his case.

The “lawsuit was filed long before the first vote was ever cast or counted,” DiMaio said in a statement released Monday. “How do you ignore the fourth largest state in the nation and millions of Florida voters who exercised their right to vote?,” he added.

The dismissal of Dimaio’s original suit was upheld by a federal appeals court in March but the court stated that the suit could be refiled if the defects it had identified were fixed.

In early April, DiMaio refiled in Tampa federal trial court. The new suit alleges that the DNC discriminated on the basis of race and national origin in violation of federal law. In particular, DiMaio contends that the DNC allowed Nevada and South Carolina to hold their presidential primaries prior to February 5 because of significant minority populations in both states.

A hearing is set for Wednesday in DiMaio’s case. In papers filed with the Tampa federal trial court in preparation for the hearing, the DNC countered that its rule on scheduling primaries does not amount to discrimination on the basis of race or national origin and does not discriminate against any individual voter or against the voters as a whole in any state.

The DNC also said that national political parties have a constitutional right under the First Amendment to determine how delegates are selected to their nominating conventions.

DiMaio’s suit is the third filed against the DNC over its decision to strip Florida of its convention delegates. U.S. Senator Bill Nelson and Rep. Alcee Hastings, both Democrats from Florida, filed a lawsuit that was dismissed in late 2007 and a Florida Democratic state senator filed a suit last week.

The Rules and Bylaws Committee of the DNC is scheduled to meet May 31 in Washington, D.C. to hear appeals by Florida and Michigan, which was also stripped of its seats at the Democratic convention for holding its primary in violation of the DNC’s rule.

Dream on, dude (not to you. To Axelrod)...you will not see Obama get to 2,025 delegates after next week's primaries.

Who knows.

It's their right, though. If they want to protest, let em.

But, I still say.........DA knows something big is about to happen if they are ready to claim victory.

It could be the expected ruling this Saturday with the rules committee...or a deal has been worked for the Hillarack ticket! ;)

And do you think Obama has his VP picked out?

I am willing to bet it will be a Hillarack ticket! Obama sees that, without her, too many of her supporters go to McCain so he needs her supporters and hence needs her! ;)

Hillarack forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I have no problem with them filing lawsuits or protesting whatever they want. I just think the allegations in the suit are of a nature that would make me reconsider party affiliation if I believed that. Of course, I wouldn't waste my time or energy on a suit in the first place.

I guess DA wants to give the media something to talk about today. In order for them to claim victory they would have to have the super delegates all lined up and ready to go which must be the case. I think that's been the case for a while now and it's been about waiting until the last primary is held. This just adds to my contention that the popular vote does not matter since it boils down to the delegate total.

Obama subbed for Ted Kennedy as the graduation speaker and all that passing of the torch business while Bill was making his cover up accusations. Isn't it noticeable that a flurry of activity has been taking place without the Clintons?

Wales, what do you think?

And do you think Obama has his VP picked out?

I don't think so but I think there is probably a top five. I seriously doubt that HC is even in the top 10.

Very true.

Hopefully, they do have the SDs lined up. I think they do as well.

With what she did recently, she probably has cost herself the VP spot. I know mnay will still have their agendas, but she did that to herself.

You know it's hard for her to take any responsibility for what she has done wrong.

Good god get over the whole RFK comments. She apologized, he and RJK Jr. said they know she did not mean any harm, and it is done.
