Where do I say that the Democrats don't point fingers and what does that have to do with you jumping to the conclusion that the reason I didn't hear about Biden's gaffes on the news is because the news is liberal? How am I supposed to respond to yiou when it seems like you didn't read what I wrote?

As far as your question to GGL on the Bush Doctrine there's this:

Make a joke of it if you may. But it's the truth. McCain is running scared and hypocritically makes a fool of himself yet again

I didn't say all Republicans are communist as you're trying to hint at. But yeah McCain and Palin line themselves up with communists by getting in the way of free speech and freedom of the press. Remember that little thing called the Constitution. I know a lot of Republicans like W and Cheney sure have.

Well, what *I* would have said if I were you was: "We're not discussing the Democrats, we're discussing the Republicans. And Joe Biden has absolutely nothing to do with me not hearing his gaffes in the mainstream press." Additionally, I would have answered by... Wait... I forgot what you wrote... sorry.

My understanding, Wales, is that the Bush Doctrine comprises many different things coverage a broad range of issues... Perhaps Sarah didn't know precisely what Charlie was getting at... I mean, which section, idea, etc. does she agree or disagree with? And also, how many children does Russian President Vladimir Putin have, what are their names, and are any of them of legal age and HAWT???

And a whack duck on crack says... "Dood." B)

That's not what John McCain said, Mulder. Find me an honest-to-goodness mainstream media webpage where John McCain it quoted as saying, "...there was no financial crisis" and I will post a nude picture of Casey right here, right now... right here, right now... right here, right now...

As for the second half of your post... I've debunked that so hard here the past couple of days, there is no bunk left in the deed... to the hip hop mama...

:D:D:D

But since you're not...refer to previous post and then the one before that.

If she didn't know what Charles Gibson meant when he told her his understanding of it then she should have gotten him to clarify his question. Next time she's recounting how she can see Russia from Alaska, she might throw in details of Vladimir Putin's family life.

The President may have scared some people....especially older ones....when he said "panic" in his address. People tend to zero in on those distressful words.

Well the debates will go on and I think that is good. The American public deserves to hear from these two right now. I really give McCain points for the strategy. As far as stunts, it wasn't bad, in fact, it was pretty darn good.

You know, I don't think the dems have anything to gain by talking about Palin. Honestly, I don't think they have talked that much about her at all. Everytime, Obama gets off track and talks about McCain or Palin, he works against himself. His strength is he is better on the issues. Dispute the negative ads, but invest as much or more talking about what America wants to hear: how are we going to get this country out of all these messes? That is what I want to hear from Obama, and he does it well.

Palin is on a leash. I think Obama could learn something from McCain in that regard. Put Biden on one too.

I really don't like a government bail out, but I think it will happen. I think Congress slowing the process down -- Democrats and Republican in Congress -- did Bush a favor. It will make it a better bill. It's still not a good bill, but I don't think we can have a depression. On one hand, I think we should just let the market go. We will have a depression and five years from now all debts will be cleared, business and consumers. Depression's do have an amazing way of letting people start over. But, realistically, we can't do that. B)

I know, I did not see the interview but I agree with you on the Hillary comparison. I think SNL's skit hit the nail on the head. (It really was one of the funniest skits I had seen in a long while).

I think the Hillary comparisons open the door for revising the Bentsen quote: Governor, I know Hillary Clinton, Hillary Clinton is a friend of mine and you are no Hillary Clinton.

You know, I do think the Dems should let her speak for herself. There is nothing to gain for Obama to give her any attention at all.

    • I don’t know either But having some random junkie extra be a part of John’s death, and Orpheus still being alive doesn’t feel right I have no problem with the age gap, but I admit I do kind of side eye the high school element. I mean, when they hooked up 21 year old Casey Moss with 53 year old Kassie DePaiva, I had no problem, but this…

    • Trisha Mann-Grant is so so good. I can’t believe I’ve never seen her in something before.
    • When watching the clip of Michael returning I wonder if the announcer set a record for fastest "the role of..." I've never really connected to any of LLC's characters in her soap career, but I will give her credit for always knowing how to make a reaction and scene count. She did when Gio stormed out of the room, and her reaction to Michael returning and walking off with Miley, even in the background of a scene, was great. (and how is today the day I just realized Lisa is married to Michael Patrick Jann, of The State fame).
    • Holy [!@#$%^&*] just finished Friday’s episode. Despite my very public issues with this show, this week was everything I look for in soap opera. I fast forwarded all of the performances so I got nothing but soapy goodness. Honestly when GH wants to, they still pull off a Guza type event and this week was proof of that. I have to also shout out Ned getting some strong involvement, given Brook Lynn kept the secret from him, very happy about that. Maurice has to retire ASAP. Every other major player affected by this story, did such great work. He was embarrassingly bad like he barely knew where he was for some of his scenes. Giving him a job just because of his mental health has to stip when he’s actively ruining scenes. So happy Ned got a point of view most of the episode. Michael showing up with his new face and his son running up to him in front of everyone is just perfect and a great cliffhanger.
    • Why was there such a turnover of writers/producers in that era? You would think they would be looking for stability but each new team that came in changed direction , seemingly for no good reason instead of tweaking what was there. A lot of the new characters had little chance to get established before they were gone. Surely some of them had potential to be used by subsequent regimes? And what about bringing back writers familiar with the show ? Would Ann Marcus, the Corringtons, Henry Slesar or Peggy O'Shea been approached or interested?
