Thanks for saying that.

The LA Times said he vowed his own kind of change which was to look past party labels for the good of the country. Don't they all pretty much promise the same thing? Isn't that part of Running For President 101? What I find the most funny of all is the vow to take back Washington as if the Democrats have had control of it for the past several years. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Palin is just a distraction for the Democrats. They need to focus on the issues and recognize McCain's soap opera for what it is. He gets major points for throwing up roadblocks. There are all these different reasons why he can skirt around accountability. Nice diversion but ultimately he's running for president not her and what does that say about him that he wants to hide behind her to waltz his way into the White House?

I'm extremely disappointed in Barack Obama for agreeing to that travesty with O'Reilly. I can't refer to it as an interview since O'Reilly is a rude hack with no interviewing skills whatsoever. He should have just shown clips of Obama as he ranted and raved about his contempt for everything outside his universe. The fiasco is going to be aired three more nights next week and he claims its provocative.....yeah right.

Has anything aired on that yet? I saw O'Reilly last night kissing Newt's butt when I tuned in to see the interview. Newt is complaining and O'Reilly, oh oh I'm asked Obama that, I went down a whole list. Then Newt smiled proudly at his lap dog.

Also, why is it that every Republican press release about Palin mentions her infant son, yet no one else is able to say anything?

I think Obama may have won that round before he even went on the show. It took the man who OWNS New Corps. to broker the deal, and Obama told Roger Ailes how shitty his racist treatment of him and his wife has been. Amazing how SP's family is off-limits......but calling Michell a terrorist and saying she doesn't love her country is just fine.

But, Wales, I do see your point wholeheartedly. It is like given credence to the slime they have said about him to go on that network.

My question is this......if RM is changing his mind so much and is a huge supporter of Obama, why has he let this garbage go on for so long.....

And what will he do to stop it?

I think she has her hands full with this campaign until the election is over.

I saw the official that she fired yesterday on CNN. He said he was never directly asked to fire the trooper. Palin says she let him go for budgetary reasons.

This is understandable seeing as how she completely revamped the budget upon becoming governor.

I think the main reason she is under investigation in Alaska is because she does not have many friends in the government. I can see why after losing their power that the "old" powerhouses in Alaska are now wanting something to go after her with. It reminds me of Clinton's impeachment. It was just jaded republicans that were sore about losing the past two presidential elections.

Palin has one upped the Alaskans she now has friends in higher places.

I don't think Murdoch has any intention of stopping it. He just wanted Obama on there to feed the network's ratings since it looks great to them to have O'Reilly ranting and raving at Obama while Obama has to sit there and be diplomatic about it.

People have protested against that station on his behalf and now they are forced to put some sort of positive spin on it. I'm no fan of Spike Lee but at least he let them know that he doesn't do Fox News when they stuck a microphone in his face last week.

Funny how a couple of days ago, she needed to be dropped from the ticket. Now she "outshines" John McCain. What happened to all of the critisism of McCain's judgement in picking a running mate that wont cut it?

He talked a lot about specifics in his healthcare plan, taxes, education, and revamping the outdated unemployment system. The education specifics surprised me. I didn't know that is one of the issues he feels passionate about.

O'Reilly pretty much wants to have NBC shut down so I'm sure he was happy to have that clip. I don't know if they recorded Spike Lee because I read about it online. He was on his way in to one of the parties being thrown during the convention when he was approached, but there's no way they'd show that unless they could splice it in the most unfavorable way.

I don't see how seeing Palin as a bad vp selection means she still cannot outshine him. She's obviously a better speaker and has a more engaging personality. To me that's like saying if he picked Joan Rivers and she garnered more attention than he did that makes her an excellent choice. How hard is it to outshine McCain when he's generally lethargic and dull?

    • yes. today Monday's episode started with words displayed "part 1" and ended with "to be continued"
    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people. Edit to add: The reason this may be impossible to source, and therefore of no use, is because it was not a public statement. She is supposed to have said it at the show, about the show, to colleague/s, one of whom repeated it in public, but that is convoluted to try to track down, so feel free to ignore. I did do some looking & I am not optimistic.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.
