I'm serious. His was the first name I noticed on the list (because it's first, obviously) and wonder if he's the John Bowman that co-created the Martin Lawrence FOX 1992-1997 sitcom Martin. I've been watching my Martin show DVDs recently that I bought this past spring so naturally I've been seeing his name a lot.

Than I misunderstood (as usual). I thought you were mocking my phrasing. That's why I replied the way I did. I thought you were being petty and a bit jealous that a writer you don't like entered the Board. So... Obviously... A mess.

Will they replace her? She wrote a fair share of scripts, but they still have Jack Smith, Tracy Ann Kelley and Patrick Mulcahey still around, and Adam Dusevoir and Shannon Bradley wrote a few recently. Or would you consider Dusevoir and/or Bradley as replacements since thus far they have only written a few shows each to date?

I've heard from multiple sources that she is definitely gone and that a replacement has already been found.

I have no idea who it is, though.

Karen Harris comes from the daytime world. I met Karen back when I was doing outreaches as a Board member, and I really liked her. Even though Daytime is under the big contract, it’s the first segment to get thrown under the bus (and it sure as hell got thrown under the bus in ‘07). I disagree with Karen on a number of issues, not the least of which is her position on the infamous fi-core blacklist letter, but I think that on the whole, it’s more important that Daytime has a voice in that room.

From what I could tell of Karen, I’m willing to bet money that hers will be a strong and independent voice as well.

Her name still occasionally pops up, but those are probably ones that she wrote a while ago that were in the pipeline, and her name will eventually disappear. I guess we'll have to wait until more info comes out and/or the new name shows up in the credits to find out who the replacement is.
