Members boldfan01
Interesting. I wonder why Cynthia wasn't credited, since the episodes with the remote segments just credited Deveney Kelly as director. The other odd thing was that it wasn't the usual 3 days per director rotation during the remote episodes. Everything seemed normal at first, with Kelly getting the director credit for the first three episodes in Sydney, each of which had remote footage. Then there were two episodes directed by Stich which had scenes that took place in Sydney that were not shot on location, then back to Kelly again for the final day of remote footage. After that, the stories returned to the US and Stich directed 4 episodes in a row. The odd shuffle would make sense if Kelly did the remotes, but your photo shows otherwise. Members MarkH
With Kelly and Stich both directing for Y&R (albeit just a bit)...I find this all quite intriguing. Why director-sharing? How does this make sense? Is it that by adding Shaughnessy to the B&B team, the B&B directors need more work and $$...so the Y&R gig is a gift? I just find it all very unusual. Or maybe the B&B directors just want a few minutes on a GOOD show .
Members R Sinclair
Well, I'm glad others have enjoyed the episode. Seriously. The more you guys enjoy her at Y&R, the greater the chances of her staying there and never returning to AMC. So, your blessing is my blessing. I wish Beall nothing but the best at Y&R and hopes she satisfies the fans tenfold. Keep her away from my show. But

Members Sylph
BTW, Sinc, have you met her in that mall you two frequent often in Connecticut? And, BTW, if anyone's interested, I think Mandy is 40.
Members MarkH
I assume "Mandy" is Amanda Beall? I am very impressed that a woman in midlife achieves such a keen 'ear' for youthful dialogue!

Members Y&RWorldTurner
Thom Racina is out at Y&R, according to SOS, he gave a quote about it.
Members Ryan
Thanks Alvin, lol. I had posted it earlier this weekend, but edited my post b/c I didn't have complete confirmation. This is most of what he said: There will be more casualties.....
Members Y&RWorldTurner
In this economy, I'd be surprised if there weren't. I'm all for smaller staffs though, as long as the right people are let go. I also suspect Rauch has more input at Y&R, even if they claim he's solely focusing on the show's production. I have a feeling Melissa Salmons addition was his doing, but that can't be proven at this point. Lisa Seidman, Scott Hamner (despite his promotion), and Jay Gibson should all go too, IMO. The verdict is still out for Beall at Y&R.

Members DaytimeFan
That's a shame, I really liked Thom Racina's scripts. When I got in touch with him I was really impressed with how much he liked some of the actors...all I can say is that Jess Walton and Jeanne Cooper had a friend in Thom Racina. I hope they'll still get some good story.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
There's one more scriptwriter out at Y&R, Ryan will reveal who it is on ITZ tonight. I think it's going to make some of us quite happy.
Members MarkH
Must be Seidman? I tire of this instability, although I don't totally discern it on screen.
