Shelly Henning?! Really?!

Yes. The girl gets a bad rep for the crappy TTS story and because they radically changed her character upon her arrival. She should've been rebellious from the get go but that is a whole other story. Shelley has showed range in depth at times, especially in her scenes with SN and MBE. When she gets good material, and it usually happens opposite them, she shines. She will only improve with time and the current rape story is giving her a chance to show a big of what she has got. She has great chemistry with her fellow actors and actresses too, especially SN and MBE. Hell, she ever has chemistry with Darin Brooks even though I don't want them to go there. The same complaints I hear about her now are the same ones I heard about Rachel Melvin prior to the Zack story. Shelley will follow Rachel's path and will improve to be a great younger actress. Mark my words.

Now that is not entirely true. Days has been like other soaps as far as that goes and actually has had a good run of casting decisions over the past few years. Martha Madison, Brandon Beemer, Rachel Melvin, Blake Berris, Shelley Hennig, etc. Days' casting of late has been some of the best in daytime and I doubt that is the reason why they have not received emmy nods. It's due to the politics, pure and simple. There have been plenty of times where Days deserved recognition for things that any other soap would've seen recognition for and in every circumstance they were ignored.

DAYS is not bad. The main thing bad about DAYS is the EJ/Sami mess.
