I'm having a hard time believing that JJ or Parker care about Katie. I'm not liking that one bit. Jack not wanting to be with Carly at the end really has me worried that there might actually be some truth to what Brad said about Jack not thinking it will last. I liked how Brad finally said that he cared about Carly because not once since he found out that she wasn't dying has he said he was happy about that. <_< I'm beginning to think that Jack may not really want to marry Carly. He seems to go from one extreem to the other. I really hate what they are doing to these two. In Carly's defense, she has tried to tell Jack the truth plenty of times and he won't let her. I have a sinking feeling that by the time this story is over there will be nothing left of Carjack. Katie will be back with the truth very soon and I'm not looking forward to that.

I'm not sure they ever explained anything about the marriage. My guess is it was before the marriage to Martin Guest, the man she adopted Lily with. But she kept "Walsh" as her surname for some reason. I know she said she was what made Walsh Enterprises successful.

I thought I was going to see a lot of posts like the one I'm fixin to add - but I was WRONG! :P

While I agree that the show is a LITTLE better lately, overall I am finding it boring.

ICAM about the whole Luke "I'm not strong enough unless my man is around" cry-baby stuff. I don't like that at all. But I still like them as a couple, the writers need to go ahead and heal him already so we can get to the next part of their relationship.

ATWT definitely has more eye candy than GL.

For some reason, I don't care about any of these people, with a few exceptions. For me, the Rosanna/Paul/Meg/Craig is FF material. I don't care whose baby Meg is carrying. I don't care who Paul really wants to be with. I just don't! The writers are not creating any sympathy for any of these people, IMO. They all come across as selfish and arrogant.

The Carly/Jack scenes were good yesterday. But it pisses me off that JP has made Carly hold on to the secret of her illness this long. I don't think she would do that, especially to her children. But this is one character I care about and MW is so enchanting to watch, I can't turn away.

LOL. I'm pretty sure there have been times she could've told him. I specifically recall him sitting quietly on the couch, waiting to hear what she said, after he asked her to tell him about her divine intervention shortly after she found out she was misdiagnosed from Dr. Evers.

Brad's excuse is that he is the one Snyder male not obsessed with the absolute truth. :) I think Brad has always seen the truth---Jack was using Katie to get past Carly, and it didn't work. I'm a little ticked Brad is defender of all things Katie, because she's treated him like a sub-human troglodyte.

And Greg....I think the Creg/PRo story is boring too. Worse than boring, there's no one to root for. Carly and Meg are both lying, but to me, Meg's a slut playing both men against one another, which makes her worse. Carly's lying to force some kind of truth from Jack. Both she and Katie have given him plenty of outs to run back to Katie and try and repair that marriage. And he took none of them.

    • If Reginald had had more dimensions he probably wouldn't have been killed off and Carl might not have been brought back to fill the international supervillain role. I think though that the Loves were also severely damaged by the way Nicole and Peter were made iredeemable and written out. I definitely feel that loss more than the loss of Reginald, primarily since they were good characters to begin with and were only ruined during this period.
    • What if they were originally cast as Vanessa and Doug's twins and then were moved to Samantha/Tyrell when the show decided to delay introducing the twins? It's a shame they didn't stick with the original plan. BTW, does anybody have any new speculation on what Martin's secret will be? Brandon is hinting nobody is guessing it. Initially I thought it would be something where he was drunk and killed somebody or something like that but now I'm feeling like maybe it wasn't completely his fault. I don't get the vibe they're going to take him in a dark direction anymore.

    • I don't think some of Samantha's hairstyles have worked with the ponytails and bows making her look like an older adult wearing a 10-year-old hairstyle.    Bows work on Kat much better for Kat's age and personal style. We've known since the start that Eva was a hairstylist before she began working for Nicole.  I like that they brought that back, with Ted arranging for her to work at a high-end salon.  Yesterday's scene with Martin bringing Eva over for pizza with his family, and then Eva doing hairstyles for Samantha worked (for me). I did think that the new hairstyle that Eva created for Samantha was less "little girl" and somehow even though more mature, it made the actress Najah look less aged. Can't quite explain it, but she looks better now.
    • That backdoor pilot may have failed, yet one year later "Empty Nest" became a reality anyway, so it wasn't a complete waste of time.

The show was completely revamped of course, but still....
    • Honestly, either 6-7 and 10-11 would've worked better. But maybe they wanted actors who wouldn't be held to child labour laws and needed them to be able to act, especially if they're (eventually?) going to go with their bio mama showing up (June??).
    • I thought it interesting that in the Claybon/Manning youtube with Michael Fairman, Brandon Claybon said Samantha and Tyrell were initially supposed to be 6 and 7, but aged up for technical reasons, first aged up to 10 or 11, and then finally to 16 and 17.  (Not sure what "technical reasons" means but that's what he said.) Claybon didn't mention when this decision was made to change the ages of the children. No mention of when this happened during the process of casting/writing/preparation. Just speculating: I wonder if Najah Jackson and Jaden Lucas Miller were cast later than other recurring actors due to this change? - so maybe that's how they selected Ms. Jackson?
    • Damn, there was a tiny pre-emption where I'm from and I missed the Kat/Nicole scene, according to recaps.
    • That Kristina caused the accident.
    • I'm unclear:  What specifically does Lucky know about Elizabeth's accident and Kristina?
