I find Escrito nas Estrelas utter bull.

I don't like it that much too. I watched 15 episodes for now and I don't see what's the whole point of the ghost storyline. "Cama de gato" was much better.

Yup, another remake + it resembles a LOT to "Rubi" from 2004.

"Dona Barbara" currently airs in Croatia and it is very successful, however I don't watch it.

Gabriela Spanic shot the pilot, however she got pregnant and then Telemundo replaced her with Edith.

Gabriela is terrible... she is the main villain now in "Soy tu duena". Her "acting" is horrendous.

I'm not watching Doña Bárbara either, but it really has become quite popular in Croatia. Actually, only last year NOVA TV started airing telenovelas again in the afternoon timeslot, and the first soaps - Mañana Es Para Siempre and Sortilegio were a success, so the television is milking it out whatever way they can.

The little that I've seen of Edith playing Bárbara was actually good, and for the first time ever Génesis Rodríguez seems decent.

Genesis actually guest-starred on "Entourage". I don't watch that show though, so I don't know how she did.

"En nombre del amor" is a big success too due to Leticia Calderon.

Oh, Lord, En Nombre features Victoria Ruffo. In the only role she can play. She always plays the same person. Horrible.

But Calderón is fabulous as the villain.

Exactly. I noticed the difference myself a few weeks ago - between Lucero from MEPS and Leticia Calderon from ENDA. Lucero's character was just amazing (IMO), a villain with a somewhat soft side, while this character that Leticia plays (which I haven't seen since I'm not that interested in this show) is just too cartoonish (according to a lot of stories that I heard).

I am still surprised that a lot of telenovelas are currently airing in Croatia, after a long break by Nova TV and RTL.
