Members Jess Posted September 13, 2007 Members Share Posted September 13, 2007 If ABC starts firing people who have been arrested and/or convicted of DUI, they will have to fire several of the performers on Lost, one of the actresses on Desperate Housewife, even the star of the show Extreme Home Makeover and probably many others. In addition, the incidences of substance abuse by daytime actors is well known. Sean Kanun obviously has a substance abuse problem. He has acknowledge cocaine abuse and now has two DUIs. The reason he doesn't know better is because he can't deal with the problem. The legal system if fully equipped to handle the punishment in these cases. Networks and shows, IMO, would be well-served to do what many businesses do and play a part in determining whether these young people might need counseling. I could swear that when he came to STAR on "Sunset Beach" (the article missed that one!) he was proud of kicking all his bad habits. HE WAS CLEAN. I hope they keep Storms; she's really grooving as Maxie, it shows she loves to play the character & things wouldn't be the same w/o Maxie Jones.
