DAYS: Bring back Marty Davich!!

Watch any DAYS clip from the 80's/early 90's or GH from Mid 90's to early 2000's, and you'll clearly see why this man was the best soap music composer. I love his piano cues the most and my favorite couple's theme that he create was Sonny/Brenda's theme.

Save us from us from Ken Corday and Brent Nelson's horrible background music.

Ed Scott, you need the bring this talented man back!!

I think it was 1992 or 1993.

I would love to know why he left DAYS though.

Did Tom Langan or Ken Corday fire him, or did Shelly Curtis (a GH producer at the time who worked for DAYS in the 80's) steal him away?

Something needs to be changed. I'm sick of Corday's techno/porn crap. It's getting rediculous. There are scenes that should be very serious and touching, yet we have porn music in the background, or techno when a piano should be playing instead.

GH's music is so generic, it's laughable.

Corday's porn/techno/whatever you call it is vomit inducing crap. It takes away from the emotional scenes and makes the soap into a joke. A part me thinks the reason why he never kept the orchestrated version of the show's current theme(also known as the Melaswen open) is for his own personal vanity.

Marty has the best music for sad/emotional scenes. Him coming back would add so much to the show. Music is so important to a scene. Having the wrong kind of music can ruin what should've been a wonderful scene.

Well, to be fair, Y&R kept its music when Scott left in 2001. I doubt his supervising producer credit had that much weight from 2004-2007.

LML's choice in music makes the backing music on MTV reality shows look groundbreaking.

Also, as generic as GH's music seems now, I still think that show has the best backing music in all of daytime right now. Yes, I know, that's not saying much.

You mean that horrible rock&roll/electric guitar music or having songs play as the scenes fade out? LOL

One of Y&R's longtime music composers, Jez Davidson, has already left the show. He was with the show for over 17 years.

(God bless the producers who upload their busted pilots.)

I can't believe how many different interactions we got in today's episode. Many we hadn't gotten before or for the longest time.   Everyone looked so young in their flashback scenes with John.   Great to see Will again! Chandler looked so damn hot!   It's going to be interesting to see Will be at his former lovers wedding.

    • -- That accent Cady McClain is using is awful, and it was especially bad in her first scene. Make it stop. -- I agree with all the good and all the bad about Dani, but I do not want Andre to get swept up in her craziness. He deserves better. -- "Better" for Andre is not Ashley. The crazy thing is that the Andre/Dani and Andre/Ashley stories seem to be a part of separate universes. -- The jewelry guy (Adam) who sat with Dani and Pamela had my gaydar pinging. -- I will say the writers are working overtime to make us know Dani and Andre "aren't really related." -- I don't think Leslie will be arrested next week. I think Eva is going to remove the evidence -- that motorcycle helmet -- from the apartment, and that they'll find nothing on the search. -- That wig on Sharon is rough. Wow.

    • I never liked Reva, either the first time around, or the second. My issue for the first go round was that Reva dominated the show, which was a shame because I didn't like the character.  Loud, insecure, narcissistic "look at me", "here I am, entertain me" individuals irritate me in real life.  It wouldn't have mattered to me who portrayed the character...Zimmer or someone else. Reva is a character inherently inimical to the idea of ensemble.   Post 1995, Reva was no longer a character, but a device.
    • I have no idea why Gio would go to Sonny first since he told Emma he thought Sonny knew about him all along. Maybe to clarify if Sonny knew?  Considering Sonny didn't know Dante was his son back then it doesn't really matter. I am sure Sonny will make some wise parallel about his father leaving and his mother dying or being lied to by Olivia and Gio will see the light.
    • I know I have heard Orpheus mention it, at least in passing.  I still don't know why exactly he hates John though.  It seems Orpheus was heavily leaning into a Stefano moment of Marlena obsession, but then he always wanted to murder her a bunch so it's unclear.
    • I always thought that whoever pitched his return story in 2016 just didn't do their homework, and didn't know that the real Roman was the one who killed Orpheus' wife.
    • Xander is Victor's son, but thought he was his nephew until Victor's will.  His mom is an alcoholic who ran Sarah down then left town.  He's got a kid with Sarah and then is related to the rest of the Kiriakis brood. I would argue Orpheus lost his purpose years ago.  I lost the plot with Orpheus when his entire beef was with John and not Roman.  The person who actually killed his wife. Too be kind I'll just say it looks like Chandler was a bit out of practice at the old acting game.  He's never stopped smirking.
