Well I am hoping that the show Paul L is doing in Australia is a huge success and runs for many years. B) I too hate these short return visits and especially since he has admitted he just does it for the money. There is always destruction left behind and he is long gone and doesn't have to suffer or pay for it. I really hope that we have seen the last of him, but I know JP has said she would love to have him back. The only way I would want to see him back is if he comes and declares his undying love for Katie and the two of them ride off in the sunset together. <_< otherwise I hope we have seen the last of Simon.

Did you notice that too?? It was so obvious in that SOD article that Michael isn't even TRYING to sell this crap anymore, and, in some ways, he was actually laughing at the absurdity of it all, like how silly it is for KACK to even be thinking about getting married this quick, and how unbelievable it is that Jack could afford to buy a huge, mega-caret diamond ring on a cop's salary especially since he's always complaining about being broke?? Oh yeah, "we were both hurt by others, we developed a friendship, so, OK, why NOT get married???"" really sounds like a ringing endorsement for happily ever after and true love eternal, doesn't it??

I was going to add that that was the only way I'd want him back too...but I forgot! :D

Because no one mentions it. They mentioned it for about two weeks when Jessie Dunphy was cast in the role, and it sounded like they would do a story about it, but then it was dropped as Ali just went wild. I think Em mentioned it to Dusty once when this started, but it's never discussed in detail. I never thought it was treated as a secret when the story was actually done in the '90's, but now they act as if it is.

It's so funny how the actors know their characters better than the stupid HW writer! MP was right on with what he said in the SOD article. J. Pissanante doesnt have a clue!

I think Michael thinks this is totally absurd and he knows the fans well enough to now that a lot of them will too. So I have to laugh at the comment about how he says why not give it a go? Isn't that romantic lol! Only a friendship is mentioned and nothing about love. And then he talks about how crazy it is that he's buying this huge ring. He's also said recently that there still is a connection between Jack and Carly. If Jack and Carly were over he would be trying to sell the new pairing but instead he is just trying to see the humor in it while it lasts and I think do some control damage for Jack. I really think the actual proposal is never going to happen. And my guess is the writers think then we will feel bad for Katie, but that ain't going to happen!

I've always been a CarJack fan. However, half the fun of CarJack has always been getting them together with an obstacle in the way. (The best, of course, was AP as Julia!) If Carly and Jack get together too quickly, it could turn into total boredom. I dislike the Kack pairing more than anything I've seen in a long time. Perhaps, an obstacle could be Katie finding out she's preggers after Jack and Carly get back together. You know those Snyder boys tend to have as many Baby Mamas as NBA players!

The Emily/Dusty/Ali story played out well for me. (Of course, because of KMH's leave, they had to do something that would send her away. I'm glad it wasn't something lame like Lance kidnapping her or that she's missing.) This is entirely believeable that she would be hurt. Em feeling like she's on the right track with her life, afraid to get involved because SHE always ruins it, only to find out that Dusty/Ali had this night together. (Glad they mentioned Em's affair with Chris when Ali was in love with him.) I only hope this story continues to give the awesome MM more story with her daughters.

Although they have a long way to go in reforming Craig, SB's ability to show emotion and vulernability is a huge first step. Throwing Babs into the mix always provides good entertainment. Now, we need to have some scenes with SB and MW. Carly has been in town for two months and hasn't crossed paths with Craig yet.

    • You might be going crazy and overthinking, because that's not how it goes.  Right now, it's the Hamiltons versus the Richardsons in the openings, with Alex Alegria/Buglioli/Ben Gavin with the Richardsons (Opening B), while Jen Jacob is with the Hamiltons (Opening A). Opening A: Brandon Claybon Timon Kyle Durrett Marquita Goings Jibre Hordges Jen Jacob Mike Manning RhonniRose Mantilla Arielle Prepetit Opening B: Alex Alegria Lauren Buglioli Sean Freeman Ben Gavin Trisha Mann-Grant Ambyr Michelle Colby Muhammad Keith D. Robinson By your reasoning, the opening should be (and would make zero sense): Opening A: Alex Alegria Lauren Buglioli Brandon Claybon Timon Kyle Durrett Sean Freeman Ben Gavin Marquita Goings Jibre Hordges Opening B: Jen Jacob Trisha Mann-Grant Mike Manning RhonniRose Mantilla Ambry Michelle Colby Muhammad Keith D. Robinson Arielle Prepetit
    • Oh yes, I still remember that. But I'm much kinder to David Henesy than you are overall.
    • I just finished the Locher Room Texas reunion.  I really enjoyed it.  I love that the actors have such fond memories of the time they spent working on Texas and with each other.  It is really special and unique.  Kin was being Kin.  He was moving the camera around or he was constantly moving, at one point he is completely in the dark, then you can't hear him.  lol.  He is like a hyper child.   And as I suspected Alan admitted he has not read Tom Lisanti's book.  It is lazy and unprofessional for him to not have done so before speaking with this group.
    • They were always meant to be short-term, I think - at least Mick and Lou.
    • No it's alphabetical between the two openings - the A-whatever is opening 1 and whatever-Z is opening 2. So in theory, if his last name started with an A, he'd be first in opening 1 and they would have had to remove Maurice (who was in opening 2), which requires edits to both. Unless I'm going crazy haha

    • All depends, really. Whichever opening had Johnson would have had to change; it's not like he was in both openings.
    • Well, it's alphabetical, so they got lucky with the actor's name fitting into place like that. Otherwise, if they stayed alphabetical, they could have had to change both.
    • To their credit, the new writers are clever to stick to current events from the time they were taping, versus trying to predict current events at the time the episode airs.  Case in point, Susan and questionable choice to hop on a cruise two days after her son was shot, and the case remains unsolved, so her remains at risk...

Although cruises around the world are not uncommon for Salem citizens like Julie, it seemed like the type of reference DOOL continues to like dropping into scripts for humor. Also, help me understand the Marlena and EJ interaction.  Didn't they come to a mutual détente earlier in the week?  I felt gaslighted, but I could've just as easily misunderstood Marlena's earlier talk to Belle, and then EJ. And is Bo in Boston (near Ceara) or Greece (where he was transferred after he was shot)?  I bet it is expensive to fly a coma patient transatlantically!
    • It was one of the bigger disappointments that Sarah wasn't part of the book.
    • They clearly loved her offcamera. I wish I could appreciate her work more, but...I don't. Thanks for telling me what Levin said at the end. I still don't think Carney was bad, but I guess he would always see them as not shining compared to Kate.
