How brilliant was Gina Tognoni yesterday on GL?

Her scenes yesterday gave me chills and mesmerized me. The girl is so talented it is not even funny. In fact I put her in same category as a Cynthia Watros or Sarah Brown. Gina will be nominated or another emmy next year. The girl comes to the screen with her A game and whips the floor with it. I liked Wendy Moniz years ago but IMO nobody can play Dinah like Gina. She has all this range of emotions. I loved her scenes with Matt. The thing is Gina delivers this great performance all the time. What do you think of Gina yesterday? How hard would it be to re-cast Gina in the role of Dinah if she left? I just think she is not only one of GL's best but one of the best in daytime.

I FLOVE Gina! She was truly meant to play the role of Dinah. I watched her on OLTL too, but she never seemed that appealing as Kelly, though I certainly prefer her Kelly over Heather's.

Gina's a true find as Dinah, it's one of the smartest decisions Barbara Bloom has ever made. Gina looks so content in this character and you can tell she's just eating up the material she's given, despite lackluster writing. I wouldn't be surprised if she wins her second Emmy come next year.

I also agree there Jonny, Gina has that saw raw talent that was exhibited by Watros and Brown years ago. Y&R was stupid to pass on her for the role of Victoria and GH was stupid to pass on her for the role of Carly.

I could watch Dinah all day. She's more Dinahesque than Wendi Moniz ever was. Though there times on OLTL that the seeds were there. Anyone remember when Kelly accidently ran Blair and Patrick off the road and killed their unborn baby. Gina and Kassie D were so great in those scenes.

    • Yes, I said some stupid things but I did not act on them.
    • I believe Jagger said Stone was in an assisted living community and thriving.  So Jagger wasn't exactly a part of his day-to-day life.  We know absolutely nothing about Stone's mother besides that it's not Karen, so it's possible she's more involved.  On Nightshift it did seem like he was the main caregiver though.
    • And, in fact, that is exactly what I did do, offered a sincere apology, and a year went by without it happening again & during that time I paid an unbelievably high price. And, during that time I did not speak of it. I did not offer a defense. I just took my lumps. I had been too upset to discuss it. I believed that I would not be believed. And, now I have finally made one statement & your interpretation of my actions is that I come back with excuses, defenses & distortions - whatever the heck that means - and, yes, some people choose not to believe me when I have been nothing but truthful ... forever.  So, your statement that all I needed to do was apologize, sorry, not what happened.
    • I wonder what happened to Jagger's son?  BTW, did Jagger ever go back to the Bay Area to see his son the entire time he lived in Port Charles?
    • Just because Taggert is so anti Sonny I don't see that working for Lois. I agree with all this.   I still thought Harrington was decent.  He was just completely wrong for the role.  Weirdly being hung up on Karen and Stone was a strange choice too.  They've been dead for years and years and he wasn't married to Karen when she died in a car accident and didn't even show up to Stone's funeral.   Correct and Donna is acting like she didn't PM people like me this info about Drake months before he passed away.
    • Wagger was so bizarre. I still don't care about that dude and I knew what would happen to him from the beginning. But it is crazy they pretend like it didn't matter Sonny stone cold killed a fed. I'm sure they will pick it up in a year or two to try to save face and make it important for some other plot point, like how they forgot all about Austin, Nikolas shooting Hayden and letting Shawn take the fall, etc. He was mediocre and folks acted like he was Douglass Watson because of that one Mulcahey speech! The answer here is the same one to anyone who is familiar with Donna from BITD: She implicitly believes she unofficially works here and has a position of authority in fandom. She does not.
    • I would much rather see Lois with someone young and exciting over being with Taggert.  Rick Webber Jr or have a scandalous affair with Dillon Quartermaine.  Tracy would lose her mind.
    • Well, of course, it's unlikely. But in the what-if fantasy world, I wonder if the actors/characters would work well together.
    • I was thinking at some point down the line the show might bring Stone Jr. (2.0?) to PC and avenge his father's unsolved murder or something. I don't know who that Jagger was either.  Strange casting.  The actor was all wrong for the part even if I thought Adam Harrington could act.
