First, let's everyone wish Dusty a happy birthday! Unfortunately, I realized I have a FYC cd that's older than him, but whatever. :) (That's the Fine Young Cannibals, FYI. The old dudes that sing "She Drives Me Crazy".)

Blangiardo/Culliton...I don't like this dude's writing. Carly is a lot more subtle than he writes her.

I'm gonna cry if CZP's beautiful voice is going to be lost to some weirdly bad dental procedure. She still has this lisp-thing going on.

The Craig/Meg scenes were pretty much a washout, but I thought Barbara's grief and dressing down of Meg was wonderful. And just watching Scott Bryce in the background convinced me Craig has a soul, deep down in that oily black heart of his, somewhere. THAT'S what's been missed in Hunt Block's portrayal of the character--humanity.

Ali/Aaron...eh. Elwood comes off like a total jerk though. I think they kind of screwed us out of seeing Aaron's reaction to the news Ali had turned into a porn star. At first, I thought she'd only confessed about the meth addiction.

Dusty/Em....not a fan. C'mon...Dusty's huge "mistake" is sleeping with Ali? REALLY? Let's see...he came to town paided by Babs to break up Paul/Rose, he's screwed a handful of women without "strings" (remember Molly and Meg?), he was a borderline thug who inadvertantly got Aaron paralyzed. AND WAIT...he was going to kill Craig in cold blood. But having sex with Emily's legal aged sister bothers his conscience? WTFever.

Carly/Jack, et al. ONE, Jack is lying when he said Carly's "moving on" with Simon didn't bother him. Two, funny how his "admission" that upset Fluffster was that Carly/Brad scheming was "his worst nightmare"....and not some confession that he and Carly had almost kissed the other day at the family outing. Three, Katie's a bitch for throwing Carly's "desertion" of the family in her face, when Katie's directly responsible for hounding her and Simon out of town.

But, y'know....it was funny that Carly knew Katie wouldn't be able to keep her yap shut about Carly and Brad going out to breakfast. It took all of two minutes for her to spill it to Jack, even though she knew she was being played.

Ya know what's the saddest thing of all about this mess of a story PJ? It's that Katie and Brad will be just fine when the mess is over and KACK are but a distant and painful memory, but the one's who will suffer the most damage from this crap of a story is Carly and Jack. They are the ones who are being so trashed by this mess, whereas, Katie is just being Katie and doing what Katie has always done. No harm, no foul. She'll be right back where she started from. And AP's Brad is NEW, so he doesn't really have a "history" to be trashed or any long term relationship from the past that could be rewritten like Carjack's.

I couldn't give a damn about Katie and Brad and how they'll be when this is all over, but it breaks my heart to see how Carly and Jack are being trashed by this story. I was actually embarrassed for Maura West today having to try to sell that pre-adolescent BS they had Carly doing today, while Jack and Fluffy stood in judgment of her with their morally superior smirks. It was beneath all of them, even Terri Conn who I'm not particularly fond of anyway. :(

I agree with you totally, I can't stand Katie she been causing trouble for Carly since I can remember. I believe that Katie has wanted Jack for a long time that is why she always getting in Jack and Carly business. Carly got in trouble helping Jack when he lost his job and Katie told Jack about Carly working at the club under cover trying to help Jack get his job back. Carly almost got killed because of Katie. . I hopeful that Jack and Carly get back together, but Carley need s to stop working so hard at it and just sit back and wait for Katie to said or do something dumb. Katie is upset because she can see how much it is affected Jack when he around Carly.

I wasn't going to post. I am quickly losing patience with ATWT. So I will just do positives and negatives of the show. Guess which one will have more?.....Duh! :P

Positives

Barbara Ryan-It was great she was finally involved with Craig and Meg.

Craig Montgomery- Love Scott Bryce!

Negatives

Dusty and Emily-No way am I buying these two as a couple. I never will. Emily almost killed Dusty. She had him kidnapped. Why flirt with the idea of pairing them.

Ally and Aaron- Glad Aaron is back. But I see no chemistry between the two of them.

Carly/Jack/Fluffy/Duh(Brad)- Really pathetic! Real Carly can take down Katie without sweating! Why all these games with the twit!

Meg- WILL SHE MAKE UP HER DAMN MIND!!!!!!! ONE DAY SHE IS CIVIL/NICE TO CRAIG.....NEXT DAY SHE HATES HIM....WRITERS MAKE UP YOUR MINDS....WHAT IS IT? It is getting annoying and boring to watch!

Craig/Meg/Barbara scenes- Barbara should have slapped the hell out of Meg. She should have really laid into Craig. Use the history that Barbara and Craig have....you hack writer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE SHOW WAS BORING!!!!!

END OF RANT!!!!!!

    • See, I imagine it as some kind of "private" room within a bigger casino.
    • I like Nicole for several reasons, she has all the good attributes and qualities of a good person. You have to be a huge hater to dislike someone like her. I consider Dani an underdog. She had a lot to live up to and she hasn't contributed to the family name imo. Naomi and Martin seem to had more flourishing careers than she has.  She might've had a long marriage, but Bill cheated on her left and right. I am sure they had some good times, but I wouldn't call it a great marriage or anything to brag about. She modeled for what 2/3 years? That's not that successful, especially if she didn't pivot to something more lucrative. And that is the real reason she plays momanger cause she is living through Chelsea. Dani is nothing without her family name. Nicole doesn't need the Dupree; she made her own mark! And that's what you should do when you're born with privilege, flip that [!@#$%^&*]! The opportunity is there for the writers to play up her insecurities and resentment issues, but will they? There must've been a reason for her to choose Bill over someone with more status, or coming from another wealthy family. Right?  I don't expect everyone to understand her, but I do, and probably would've made her a more screw up and didn't amount to much outside having some kids.  The lack of crossover from the in-laws always bothered me, too. I hope at some point we get some family dinners. I know it's not earth-shattering entertainment, but I'm a sucker for those scenes. And you can still move the story along, too! I forgot all about my boo Jacob, and he was on today. He, for some reason, reminds me of Garfield the cat!

You're right about that hetero bio son Dupree, though.
    • The casino set needs to be upgraded or needs to go. Why would anyone rich spend their time in the wood paneled 1960’s room instead of just playing cards in what I assume is the normal nice looking casino area.
    • It wasn't his first appearance, though; per the end credits, he is a principal guest star (a.k.a. recurring).
    • Vanessa was flirty with Smitty, and it was weird. Smitty didn't think anything about it was cute or fun. The sex talk between Cody and Vanessa at Orphey Gene's? Also weird af. We needed either a longer scene or another scene to make any of that work. Vanessa is coming off like a nymphomaniac. Forced for plot convenience, just as it was when we saw Eva (HUH???) in that casino backroom. Sorry, none of this casino stuff works. I thought the same thing -- I enjoyed all the different character groupings, but the dialogue was not natural and didn't flow. Yep, kinda weird. I don't get it. Of course, I also don't get the discussion of not having Doug as the surgeon. Is he the only doctor anyone trusts? Then we have June's entire heart procedure talked about, performed, and over within 20 minutes of screen time. -- Cady McClain gives us a different variation of that accent every time she appears. The dialogue between Pamela and Dani is too cute by half. -- BTG, please stop mentioning Martin's run for the presidency. -- I hope we're not going to see Ted soften towards Dana and be taken in by her line of bull. She just blew up his life, and I don't want to see him sympathize with her in any way.
    • Agree.  But I would describe him as being disappointed not bitter.
    • >>><<< Great minds!  Kat certainly does prove that point. She's been given a lot to work with, so we shouldn't be bored of her anytime soon. I am interested in all her storylines at the moment, and curious how the show will use the affair to impact her romances and business stories. Well, what movie was it? Cause… I noticed it too. The first couple of seconds of the song were slightly different. OMG! Great call, precisely the same situation.
    • I think Kin was dissatisfied at GH in as much as Scotty had been pushed aside for Luke/Laura and the writing was doing him no favors as Scotty was now seen as an obstacle to their romance. So with his contract up he was offered big $$$ to move to Texas, which you can't blame him for. In addition to the money, I recall he was promised that Jeb would be a more dynamic character than Scotty. The money came through but not the story, so  don't blame him for being  slightly bitter.

    • A random thought - June is related to Hayley AND Tyrell and Samantha. Hayley and June are sisters separated when young. Years later June's children Ty and Sam end up being adopted into the Dupree family, coincidentally giving Hayley a further link to that family.
