Welcome to the One Life to Live Discussion Thread for the week of June 4th, 2007. It looks like a busy week ahead. Hope you enjoy your visit and are prepared to discuss the interworkings of Llanview, PA and OLTL. If so, then you're in the right place.

So, let's begin our discussion of the good, bad, and ugly that is Llanview, Pennsylvania & One Life to Live...

I really enjoyed the show today, well except the Marty and Miles. To me it was out of place and should not have gotten so much air time today. With that being said....

Loved seeing the familes involved with Jess and Tonio all gathered around, worrying and trying to comfort each other. It was extremely nice to see Clint not so involved with Dorian but was worrying about Viki, Natalie, Jessica and Antonio. He didn't piss me off today. LOL.

Had to chuckle at John, Bo and Talia even though it wasn't a comedic, they still had me chuckling, but I did like their scenes a lot.

This Marty/Miles stuff needs to end and end now.

I thought today was pretty good. First, as a charter member of the I hate John club, let me say today I liked him. I enjoyed him when he first came on because he was playing cop with Bo rather than mucking in every story. Today reminded me of that and I enjoyed it. Bo makes John better. I like Talia too.

Also, I thought everyone did as they would be expected in the Nash/Jess/Antonio story. Antonio is mad and bitter, Nash is obligated and wanting to fit in and Jess feels guilty. Viki feels bad for Antonio, but loves her daughter. I love Jess and Natalie when they are sisters. I truly enjoyed Nash and Jess and I really enjoyed Jess and Natalie and Natalie and Nash.

I liked Viki and Clint being there for each other. I liked Carlotta being mad and worried. She should be mad at Nash and Jessica and she should be worried about her son. I don't like the Miles and Marty story.

Now, my one complaint and it was a small one. When Dorian made that crack about Jess, it should have made Clint very angry, not just Viki. He should have been mad, not because of its effect on Viki, but because of what Dorian said about his daughter, who he really loves.

The end. Oh, I really want Jessica to be a Buchanan again. With the new changes, please make that happen.

I've enjoyed the humor that John McBain, Bo, Nash and Michael have injected into this bomb of a story. I sense all four of the actors are going, OK, whatever. I think that is what has made the story interesting. I also don't think it was written. Nash: If a button falls off my shirt rather than sewing it back on, I throw the shirt out. Michael: In a minute you won't have to look inside Antonio anymore. Michael: Make sure he's receiving Anethesia. We don't want him waking up. Nash: Yes that would be unpleasant.

John: Mikey, would you like me to carry you down the stairs princess?

Miles and Marty, don't care.

Now back to the OLTL comedy show. Today Antonio's kidneys shut down. Do you realize on Monday Jessica almost died from liver failure, on Tuesday Antonio almost died from some leaky blood thing, on Wednesday Antonio almost died from being blown up and on Thursday Antonio almost died from kidney failure. There is still one more day left, what body part will give out on the Triangle From Hell?

    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
    • Well, depending on rewrites...Jennifer Richards potentially slept with Brandon and Alan. It does feel like we're forgetting someone, but then again, maybe I'm confusing that with brothers, which would include a lot more.
    • Maybe it’s me, and the fact that RC isn’t at the helm, but since Cwikly and Ford have taken over I’ve noticed the show doing a lot of things differently directing wise, and since the storyline of John’s demise began, the show has been using different scores, and dare I say better ones than this time last year. It’s interesting and I wonder if the any of it is Noel Maxam’s influence before being promoted.
    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
    • @Efulton thank you. I don't know how I missed it or didn't recall it.  I'll blame amnesia . Anyway @Errol Could the newer thread be merged to the existing? Thanks in advance.
    • I just finished watching and I have to admit, not once did I find myself wondering who wasn't there. Quick question for anyone who followed this better than I did: was it only Andrew who rescued Cat and John from Clyde, or was Shane involved too? The reactions during their scenes today felt a little off to me. I know it was meant to be vague, but I didn't find it strange that they already knew each other.
    • Yeah, financially, Luna is in better shape than Deacon and Sheila.   -- Scott Clifton must have decided to chew the scenery in every scene of this "Liam is Dying" storyline. Yikes.
    • If J.R. wasn't busy with Ewing Oil, he'd be a heckuva soap recapper. He was SO gleeful at recapping Jenna-Bobby-Pam when the trio and Mark encountered each other at the Oil Baron's Ball. That being said, Lucy, presumably Sue Ellen and maybe Ray should all know this story, or at least part of it. Lucy was definitely at Southfork during Jenna and Bobby's relationship, and I believe Sue Ellen was about to marry J.R. around the time Jenna jilted Bobby. (Ray might not have given a damn.)
