Sami offers EJ a deal this week on Days of Our lives and it almost kills her.

"Sami agrees to give Stefano her baby' stem cells if he calls off the Brady/DiMera vendetta, " sets up James Scott (EJ) . "EJ is impressed. It's a pretty amazing offer to make, and it will save his father's llife."

But Tony Dimera doesn't bite.

"Tony doesn't see the scene in making a deal," explains Scott. "He also tells EJ that he is no linger under their father's protection."

Which is bad news for Sami. "EJ warns Sami that their lives are in danger," sighs Scott.

And how. When Bo hauls EJ in for questioning about John's shooting, Bart seizes the opportunity. The DiMera henchman kidnaps Sami, locks her in her ar and pumps in toxic gas fumes.

When the police release EJ, he manages to find Sami and resuscitate her. But far from being grateful, Bo arrives on the scene and slugs EJ, warning him and the rest of the DIMeras to stay away fromSami - or else.

"EJ's not worried about Bo," scoffs Scott. "If Bo could arrest EJ, he would. EJ's conern is for Sami and her father. On the one hand, there's his family, who he has strong allegiane to, telling him to take this child. On the other hand, EJ doesn't feel he can do that."

Tell that to Tony.

This is good. This stuff sounds fantabulous!

I haven't been an EJAMI fan before now, but I love the way EJ is having a change of heart with Sami, and in a way that actually makes sense. It's not forced, because EJ has something to lose, too.

I think that after EJ works to save Sami, she's really going to feel indebted to him until they finally start working together to get themselves out of the mess that they're in. They're both for the same agenda now -- the safety of the baby. Her family will see her growing close to EJ, and the DiMeras will see him growing close to Sami... it'll be the two of them against their families.

By the time the dust settles, Lucas will probably be the father of the baby and Sami will end up being disappointed in the DNA results, after all that Sami and EJ will have gone through to save "their" baby, LoL

Sorry I can't root for a couple where the woman was raped by him. It's kind of sick. I mean Lucas has done a lot of things, but rape is rape. Why are all soaps about woman falling for their rapists' - Olivia and Jeffrey on Guiding Light and now Sami and EJ- Ewww!

Redeeming Elvis is one thing but I *really* don't see Hogan going there with Sami...a character who has been raped not once, but twice. It would be offensive on so many levels and the final straw for DAYS.

I agree, Ponz. But it also makes you look how much of a horrible person Sami really is. She was raped, put through the most traumatic experience any person ever has to go through. She felt used and abused. 2 years later, what does she do? She rapes Austin.

      A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

      Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.

      When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

      I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.

      Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
