Good point...we would have probably seen some Blair, Marty, Michael, Viki, Bo, Nora involvement, but most of it would have likely been nothing to write home about. And we have never seen Henry's parents. And Britney's haven't been seen since last year. And we have never seen Langston's parent's either. As for the other teens of Amber, Amy, Gabe and the no-name dayplayers who knows? So you're right, I don't see how this would have affected everyone in Llanview.

I'm not sure how much parents and community came into this storyline, which is why I'm glad it was pulled. The only parents involved would be Blair, Todd and Marty. Henry, Brittany and Langston would only have new recurring or dayplayer parents, if that much. With what I know of other sweeps storylines, I don't think we would have seen much of Todd or Blair. Even community probably only consisted of Marcie and Bo. Maybe we'd have seen Tate worried about his star baseball player. OLTL doesn't have the community built around the teens to do this story properly.

Yeah, I agree. Todd isn't going to be around much in May because of the contract flap. Viki will be involved, but only ever so slightly in the Jessica being ill storyline, they have really written Nash/Jess/Antonio about as poorly as they can. You hope there is some new story out there that they can move up. I suspect we are going to see a whole lot of John/Marty/Miles/Natalie/Vincent/Jess/Nash/Antonio/Talia/Adrianna/Rex/Tate/Blair. That is a lot of characters. Unfortunately, it's the same ones we have seen for a while. And it is all a series of triangles, which whether you like the characters or not, still remain a series of triangles. A triangle is a triangle. Period. It's all the same story.

It would be a nice time to move up the Lindsey/Bo/Nora story. I'd like to see Natalie at BE. Oh well, I'll hush.

Viki and Clint and Dorian will all be standing around the hospital. Viki will be written like some old no-life busy body. Clint really is being written like he needs to be fertilized and mowed. And Dorian, ugg.

Well, Britney already does have dayplayer parents. We saw them a couple of times last year....like when Todd starting to beat up her dad at a back to school night.

But yeah, ITA with with what you said.

Hahaha! That is funny and wrong on so many levels. But it's the truth, poor old dull Clint. :P

Lol I find Clint and Dorian to be very funny together. Don't get me wrong I love Viki but I also love the character of Dorian so its hard to see one win and the other lose. However I hope Viki finds someone that truly loves her the way Ben did. Whatever happened to Ben anyways? I coulda sworn that there was a story where he turned out to be Asa's son? What happened to that? Also I thought that at one point he was coming back from the dead.

Todd & Blair use to be so money for me. Now its just kinda sad to watch them. They've destroyed each other to the point where its unethical to even want these two together anymore. I mean all they do is find a way to hurt and betray one another and its got to stop for Starr and Jack's sake. Can we please get Tangie moving forward again?

I like nuMarty but I never saw the old one so I can't really compare. But I do like her when shes onscreen. Her relationship with Cole is pretty realistic too. In two years though Cole is gonna be some kinda HOT! Right now hes a baby...but that doesn't stop me from thinking naughty thoughts...lol.

They made the right choice pulling the story. Better to err on the side of being sensitive to this type of tragedy than to throw it up on the screen. (Frankly, I'm not sure the current writing staff would've done such a good job with the story to begin with....) I do feel badly for the writers and actors that are going to have to scramble to fix this. Who knows -- under pressure they might come up with something good.

    • yes. today Monday's episode started with words displayed "part 1" and ended with "to be continued"
    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.
