SN changes their schedule every 3 months so thats really not an issue

And how is that exactly? If you only have 3 months worth of programming, changing the schedule every 3 months doesn't really make a difference.

Networks are only allowed so many airplays per episode of shows they air, so a couple run throughs and Soapnet will have used up their airplays.

Something to look forward too ;)

But how many did they buy? They could have a lot of go arounds and that seems to be the case for most shows in syndication. For example TBS has Dawson's Creek and they have been playing that since the last season of the show which was 2003, they show one episode M-F and their were what 5 seasons of that show. They want the younger viewership and OTH and OC might bring that to them so if they do well they will keep them.

Hmmmm... I'm amazed nobody connected with Frons said, "If we air episodes every day, and one season is only 22 episodes, we will have aired the entire series in 3 months. What are we going to do for the other NINE months?"

THAT was one of my questions. THe classic soaps to which they have rights have most likely thousands of episodes. THese newer primetime soaps only have 100 maximum -- not a lot for his millions of dollars. All to gain a youth market that probably doesn't exist. THose youth geared towards primetime soaps will be onto a new soap, having watched these the FIRST time around.
