Gay channels aren't eligible for GLAAD Awards. Go figure.

I can see why, in a way. It's a way of encouraging mainstream channels to offer more gay content instead of ghettoizing it all on one or two gay stations. Still, seems like they're missing the opportunity to award potentially/future good gay programming on gay channels (as you have pointed out).

Why not give the companies that carry the gay channels some kind of accolade then?
