B&B: Week of February 19th

Why is no one ever discussing this show? I know it's not classic B&B, but I'm back watching and there is no one to talk to it with!

Well...

I enjoyed the smackdown Pamela gave to Stephanie, but I'm not sure where there is to go with her character. It would be out-of-character and pretty much ruin Pamela in the long run. I'd much rather see Ann, but they ruined that by casting such a big star.

Rick/Phoebe is heating up and as sick as ever. They make me want to throw up. Repeatedly.

LOVE Brooke and Ridge as always, they are gods to me! And Felicia is as fierce as they come! I just love how naturally sexy Lesli Kay is. She comes on and commands the screen. Thorne and Felicia are the sexiest characters on the show and I hate that we don't see more of them. Damn you Brad Bell!

Now I'm looking forward to the Australian trip, though the vomit inducing Phoebe/Rick pairing will be there.

Dunno. Still loving it even for the two awful couples (Bridge & Icky) which are currently pushed.

Yet, I had not time for B&B this week but I am looking extremely forward to CJ's guest stint among other things...

Absolutely LOVING Alley Mills, she's the best thing to happen to B&B in ages, and am already thrilled reading in your post that the Stephanie/Pam-feud is on. Will post more when I've actally watched the show...

How dare you! Bridge is as hot as it gets! Speaking of hot, I forgot CJ who was great! Now why can't Phoebe be put with a hot guy like this? Whose last name isn't Forrester? I wonder if they'll put her with Eric since he's not her biological grandpa.

I truly hope CJ sticks around, but I doubt it with Clarke as a father.

Sorry but they passed that stage 5 years ago the latest... They're boring but I take them because they don't mess up the whole when they annoy me together.

Loved seeing CJ and for once he got lotsa dialogue. This sure was a treat. The Sally mantion meanwhile... :(

Still hating Kyle Lowder and his god awful hair. Mackenzy Mauzy meanwhile: What a great voice she has. Best singing actress since Bobbie Eakes!!! Love her!

As much as I hate the icky coupling it was unexpected and really great to hear Phoebe remembering Darla's death and the roadside accident. Of course they ruined it with the kiss at the of Tuesday's show but still...

DIED watching the Pam/Stephanie scene. Oh my gosh, Alley Mills is a goddess. She did the unthinkable: Not since Kimberlin Brown or Jennifer Finnigan has anyone stolen a scene from la Flannery... Susan Flannery is still the gold standard for me but she better watch out; her little sister is coming to get her goods.

Still have to watch Thursday & Friday - overall B&B is still sailing pleasantly along, good dialogue & scening. Keep it up (with better couples), it's nice that so many characters are shown these days.

BTW: I was also shocked that CJ and Clarke who are never on where shown in the SAME episode. Of course they shared no scene but hey...

B&B discussions, at least elsewhere, are so cutthroat. I cut my teeth on Days over the last 5 years and I thought that was bad but eek, the Brooke vs Taylor wars are major major.

Anyway I like all those couple you don't, lol. I followed Lowder over so I'm just happy to see him in a storyline. I'd rather see him with a character that's had more experience than Phoebee but I like the angst of trying to do the right thing and fighting feelings while doing it.

Meanwhile I'm in love with Ticky but wondering if they are moving too fast.

I've never watched before so I have no investment in any other characters. I've been downloading clips from the restless-passions site and trying to catch up on the past couple of months.

So if you can live with my pro Lowder basis and take me gushing now and then about how he lifted her chin to kiss her :P I'll try and post more.

    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
