With any man, kissing should always lead to sex, lol. No man wants to just kiss. Please.

That said, I don't know your reasons for not locking the door, but I'm a firm believer in (and frequently participate in) locking the door. For whatever. Who wants anyone to barge in on them? If there is a roommate or a child or another person living in the house, I'd think that was the obvious thing to do, personally.

I'm not at all conservative, but I just think when you are about to do it, you lock the door when there is a little kid in the house then unlock it when you're finished, it's not that hard.. The first time she walked in, I understood because they are inexperience with kids. The second time the thought running through my head was "are you stupid??".

It would make sense to lock a door only if you were already planning on having sex as you were going to the bedroom.

But they weren't planning on having sex.

LOL - I can't believe you assume that with all guys kissing will ALWAYS lead to sex. That is far from true!

LOL - I'm over this debate. I'm pretty sure Jamie's gray shirt was on the second time Kathy came in...and I'm pretty sure they didn't start kissing bc Jamie had nothing else but SEX on his mind.

They were talking and being sweet to each other, so Jamie moved towards her face to kiss her a couple of times. There was no indication that sex would follow.

JMHO!

Anyway it was a nice relationship-episode that was character-driven and not Satin Slayer-plot-driven. Nice break. OH and I can't wait for b!tchy Erica tomorrow...

I cut AMC a break here to an extent because it was obviously they were going for the cute factor. Showing Jamie and Julia are in for a huge change and that Jamie seems up to the challenge. He seemed frustrated the second time she came in, but he wasn't a jerk about it. Still, I was rolling my eyes a little.

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
    • I didn't think this was very good (I've never yet seen a good episode of this revival), but you do get a lot of Michael Stroka. And if you are a Donna Reed Show fan, you also get Paul Petersen.

    • A very rare, fascinating look at camera blocking in a 1980 episode. Very loose, almost startlingly so (who expects to see Will Vernon with a cig dangling out of his mouth?). @vetsoapfan There's some Jacquie Courtney content in the back half of the video.
