Favorite Female Politician

Featured Replies

There are quite a few female politicians out there so which one is your favorite? Mine is my U.S. Senator, Barbara Boxer. She reminds me of a pitbull who just latches on to something or somebody and never lets go until she has had her way. LOL I just love the woman....but she is also very progressive and good on all political issues and very strong, open-minded, and independent

Runners Up would be my other U.S. Senator, Dianne Feinstein, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Nancy Pelosi

So are you just ultra Liberal? I guess no republican woman are good enough?

I respect ladies like Pelosi and Clinton (not so much Boxer who I think is kind of loopy), but they have really take control of their party and whether I like them or not, they have proven to be a force in their own right and deserve what they have achieved thus far.

I think Elizabeth Dole is respectable. Jennifer Granholm in Michigan, who I feel is a terrible Governor, is the first female Gov in Michigan and has charisma.

Although not really a politician, I think Condi Rice is extremely intelligent and if the Iraq War never happened, her star would be shining very bright.

there are several good American women from all political sides who are great politicians, not just the left or the right.

It is nessesary to always make a mountain out of a mole hill? This is all about opinion here! People have the right to express it.

MM...I believe you forgot to post your thoughts on your favorite female politican didn't you?

Actually I didn't foget, thank you very much. I was pointing out how annoying it is to have to nick pick at every little thing and then wonder why threads get shut down. It serious gets so old after a while.

I'm quite partial to Rona Ambrose.

Always despised her, long before she was a hack-Minister. Having read her policy work when she was an employee of the Alberta Government I was not surprised by her performance in the government. She's smart, yes, but he priorities and her ideology really insult me.

MM its comments like yours that antogonize that get things going, I said mine tongue-in-cheek.

Now why are you here if you are only going to bash someone and not reply to the topic. Seriously.

I like Elizabeth Dole.

Locally in Tennessee,Democrat State Senator Rosalind Kurita broke party lines and voted for the Republican candidate for Speaker of the House thus defeating John Wilder who had held the speakers position for 36 years. He is 83 years old.

The best politicians are those who are not afraid to cross party lines and defy political labels.

No, its your snide comments that gets crap started. But of course, you can't ever see it that way; Its your way or no way at all. Give it a rest already. You know this board leans to the left so don't get all offended and up in arms if someone doesn't mention a damn republican. The world hasn't ended, geez. No one is getting bashed, I'm simply making a point here. If anyone is doing any bashing I think that would be you when you stated this:

So are you just ultra Liberal? I guess no republican woman are good enough?

It wasn't nessesary for you to say that. Its annoying! So what if someone didn't mention a repbulican? No reason to get all bent out of shape. Not everyone is going to like republicans. Not everyone likes democrats but you don't see me making a big deal about it. That is just the way the world is. There is no way around it. Don't worry about me replying to the topic, cause quite frankly it is not your concern whatsoever. If there is a problem, Errol, Toups or whoever can come and talk to me. Cause the last time I checked, they were the ones that were in charge.

But my favorite female politicans?

Kathleen Seblius

Nancy Pelosi

Hilary Clinton

I agree Oakdale....it is the politicians that can cross party lines that really know what being in politics is about.

if you can't cross the line, you have no business being there. You are to work for the country and people NOT your party line.

I hate when the media gets all riled up over people crossing the aisle to support another party....each party has good ideas and bad ideas....and if the good ones help the country and its not your party....stick up for the people, not the party!

Instead of labeling these people as hypocrites or losers, why not call them for what they are...SMART!
