Y&R is a shell of it's former self and while I enjoyed the first few months of LML, from June on the show has been terrible and has only held my attention for John's death and for two weeks in December. It's deplorable to see what is happening. I agree with Drew. Do not use the ratings to measure fan approval. The ratings mean nothing. They haven't been an accurate measure of quality in years. I must have been living under a soap rock. Her and that whole stupid storyline she's stuck in just SUCKS! And Leone? Oy. Y&R has great script writers, a stellar cast, top-notch directing & very appealing production values. U love incest? U love sexcapades? U love family-swapping? Well, I don't! To each his own is definately the term to use here! I'd take LM Latham over JF Smith any time. K. Alden vs Latham? Hmmm..... As I've said before, the last American daytime dramas that deserve to be standing are Y&R, GH & OLTL (only if D. Higley & F. Members Africana Posted February 4, 2007 Members Share Posted February 4, 2007 After I got sick of GH one time I tried to watch this show since it had such a good rep, and I was bored completely out of my mind, not just with this show but with ALL of CBS shows, I just can't get into them. The stories may interweave well, but the characters never interested me nor the tedious storylines. I guess different views of things. I just never saw the appeal in this show.
