OMG Janie!!:lol: Sorry to laugh, but that bang story was too funny! I'm sure at the time it was very traumatic though. I had a similar situation blow drying my hair. I had been needing to clean out my hairbrush (but obviously didn't). As I was pulling my hair straight with the brush and blowing it dry at the same time, the dryer got caught on some stray hair in my hairbrush. Needless to say, you could begin smelling the awful smell of burning hair - I had a big chunk fall out in the back!!!!! Thank goodness I had long and thick hair back then, and it wasn't really noticeable.

Mitch, hope your tongue heals and it's not too painful! :)

I glad your tongue is getting better Mitch. OUCH!!!

I can't recall ever burning myself, but when I was in elementary school, I was chewing on some gum and somehow managed to bite half way through my tongue. I was freaking out about it. I was extremely shy as a kid, so I raised my hand to get the teacher's attention. He came over to my desk and I told him very quietly "I think I bit my tongue." I'll never forget the expression on his face when he saw my tongue and sent me to the nurse's office. It healed up quickly though.

This is not tongue or burn related, but also in elementary school, I was was on the school bus on the way home after school. For some idiotic reason, I was playing around with a marble in my mouth. Next thing I know, I swallowed it. I panicked and didn't know what to do. When I got to my bus stop and most of the other kids were already off, I told the bus driver, on the verge of tears. She told me that it would be all right. I went home, told my mom, and later that day, the bus driver called to check on me. I assume that it eventually came out the other end. Or... I could still have the marble somewhere down in my intestines. LOL!

I've also stepped on a nail while wearing sandals, and fell on a piece of glass as a kid. Still have a scar on my finger for that one.

Umm..I don't think so. I'm not quite sure what you mean by case. Actually, I remember exactly what happened...I had opened the oven door and I was working so fast, my arm made contact with the inside of the oven door and the rest of it, of course, wasn't a pleasant experience.

I had a friend in high school put a tack in her mouth and while she was moving it around, she accidentally swallowed it. I believe she had to go to the hospital but I have no idea how they dealt with it...if they had to take it out or anything.

    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
    • That's the one and only Carrie Nye (Mrs. Dick Cavett) as Susan Piper, a deadly realtor. I don't want to spoil a lot if you ever want to see those episodes. She returns as another character in 2003. I think Grant has aged well and he always did a good job at being ripped without going too far, but he was never entirely my cup of tea either. I did think John Bolger was hot.
    • Totally agree. KKL looks great! It makes the Widge groveling so bizarre. Brooke needs to leave FC and with $B's/Liam's funding launch a rival fashion house with Hope, Rick, Katie and a secret designer. The best scenario is that Rick has been absent because he's been with very much alive C2, who is revealed on the runway as the secret designer. It'll never happen because B&B is comfortable just focusing on FC and the Forresters Marones v. Logans. But it'd been so much more interesting if the Spencers/Logans united.
